| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- I just love this episode. Poor Eimi ! I hope she can get to the beach at least once during the summer. How awful to have to take summer school. I like the character Yosshi. Some of the dialog in the English dub indicates that he is a fish. On the other hand, he looks a lot like a penguin. I suspect that he exists only in Eimi's imagination. Even so, it is great to have a friend who can provide a listening ear and give free advice. I hope this follow-up series will get more attention, such as an update of the Wikipedia page. |

| I want to comment on the connection between: - the 4-episode OVA series made in 2001. These were four additional special episodes of "Comic Party". "Comic Party" (2001) was a 13-episode TV series. - the 13-episode TV series "Comic Party Revolution" aired in April - June 2005. Roughly speaking, Episode 2 of CP-OVA corresponds to Episode 2 of CPR-TV. But they are not identical. The length of the CP-OVA episode 2 is 29:49, while for the CPR-TV it is 23:33. As far as I can see, what was done is that the CP-OVA episode was simply edited down to make the length-23:33 episode. They cut out various scenes, some long and some short. For anybody who loves "Comic Party Revolution" (2005), going back and watching the 4 OVAs that were special episodes of "Comic Party" (2001) is a must-see. I won't spoil or hint at the differences except to say that it is awesome to see the longer OVA version. |
