| Awesome start to one of the greatest fights in anime and manga history. While the art style is not as vibrant and flashy as the tv version, the animation is fluent and exciting, not to mention bloody. I'm a little torn on senator wilson phillips though; on the one hand we got to see him run over those pedestrians in all its bloody glory, but it skipped his awesome life story monologue. I guess that would have been too silly for this more serious adaption. Other than that, the rest was pretty much the same awesome fight, and the next episode will bring it to a close with the greatest fight ever to be inked into existence; JOTARO VS DIO *This comment has been sponsored by 7UP* |

| I loved the segments of Joseph swinging around Cairo like Spider-Man, great stuff. The sheer tension in this episode was absolutely fantastic, and despite having like twelve minutes of screen time, Kakyoin's death was handled quite well. |

Ending the episode on one of the most iconic quotes was a brilliant decision, but the fact that the dub made the line "to mess you up" instead of "kick your ass" made me burst out laughing. it got so close to recreating all of those memes. Also the sidewalk scene was the most graphic it has been in any medium. The David productions anime didn't show the gruesome act, the manga had one page of it. Seeing Dio in the car as it was pelted with bodies was seriously chilling. |

| Kakyoin can see fine. DIO has on a cape. DIO is impressed with automobiles. Someone crashed into DIO. Oh shit! He touched DIO! Broke his arm with ease. DIO gets in the car. DIO threw him. The Senator. Dat kick. DIO playing with him. He finally drives. Jotaro. Space on the sidewalk? Kankei nai. Ike. Motto da. LMAO HE HIT THEM! DAMN! Blood on the window. DAMN! That one guy that got hit then run over. The chase begins. Holy shit! What an amazing episode. The sidewalk scene. All that blood. This is what I love. I don't care how much time goes by... nothing beats the 90's. Tanaka showing why he's a legend. Dat "Kankei nai. Ike." His voice is so damn amazing. Perfect fit for 90's DIO with the gore and dark atmosphere. I love how he says Zhe... WURRRRLDO! lol at 7up, coke, and Kodak. Senator's driver is lucky to be alive. He could have been killed. Tanaka and Kosugi delivered in the iconic ending scene. |
