anyone remember this?

and also the image "JReitan" posted here

Definitely, this wasn't a random episode

I dislike the ending a lot. Not my taste of music and there's a lot of unnecessary fan service. Makishima does exercise? what a joke!! he almost looks like Kogami -_-

PS: People really liked abnormalize?? from ep 1 to 11 there were more people posting bad things about it. I was not expecting that XDXD

Also, anyone else think yayoi is giving off a yuri-vibe? Is she lesbo?

As far as I can recall they implied it already earlier on.. But with Shion and her.
Not sure if she really is lesbian though

even if we call he r yuri-poi and such it's not that kind of love it remind me of NANA , two girl love stand beside each other on stage.

Damm i hate comments like this....... B . S

At least they tried to relate the song to the anime especially if you read the subs for op and ed....

Its not just about dammm FANSERVICES

i a agre with you , I think nobody undertand the meaning behind naked (trueself) everyone and distortion of dominator cycle around Ayane well I which Mkishima turns Ayane into his Harley quin since shogo is Mr J

This episode was so-so. I was a bit bored by it but I can't call it bad either, getting some background for the characters is always a good thing :) I just want to see Akane and know how she gets over the events of episode 11 so badly that I can't really appreciate this episode T.T

And we once again saw a new fault in the oh-so-great Dominator. You can't even target criminals who you're aiming at if there's someone even slightly blocking the view. That guy could've been so easy to take out with normal more convenient weaponry.

Nooo what did you do to my favorite opening? D: Give it back! T.T And the good ED changed into a bad one too =(

People are acting like 5 year old that want to skip dinner and get straight to the candy with all their wishing to just see the bad guy and stuff.

This was a good episode, and it gave us more inside into the Sybil system and the frustrations of life in it. People also should realize that the major plot of this anime is that system in-itself and life around it and not simply the fight with some bad guy.

I don't think it's like that. Sybil isn't some evil intended system, it's just that it fails at realizing the complexities of human nature. For example it can translate stress etc as dangerous even when it's not exactly like that. It seem to fail to comprehend or underestimates the ability of the human mind over impulses or stress.

A system like that could have work amazingly well as a helper but unfortunately many humans tend to like absolutes. It's easier for them because they can stop having to wonder and tiring their minds so they made it like a God instead of just a non absolute helping tool. And the more times the system was correct the more they thought of it as flawless and made it into absolute ruler. Such system is dangerous exactly because it isn't completely evil and it can be right most of the times.
Because of that the lives of those getting unfair judgment got at first ignored and then just disappeared under the assumption that the system can't be wrong.
Basically is like having a lie detector as an absolute. We know it's most of the times right but we know that it can be wrong too. But if we had it as an absolute we wouldn't even accept the possibility of it being wrong. a lie detector isn't an evil device it's just a system.

The only question that left me wandering from the beginning of this episode (since I've heard talks about how Yayoi was gonna be the center of focus in this week's episode, earlier this morning here, before I myself even had the chance to watch it) was:

how exactly did Yayoi ended up being a latent criminal..?

On a side note, I rather did try to like the new ending (also by Egoist), BUT, when she started hitting on those high notes, I was like: meh. that's a "3/5 stars" reaction, btw. Personally, I preferred Namae no kaibutsu best.

Anynways, I'm SO looking forward to the next episode!!! :-D))

I enjoyed seeing yayoi's backstory, especially how they talked about artists having the potential of becoming latent criminals if they get too involved in their work. What I really couldn't bring my self to fully enjoy though was the new beginning song, at least in comparison to the previous one which I felt was perfect for the series. I do hope that they get back to the main story line next week though.

But that's the thing, if the one or ones created this system as a absolute to hide behind and do whatever they want cause they know how it works, would it be the most convenient for them? You just proved it that it is. By making something absolute and like that, you can do anything you want behind its back if you know the flaws of the absolute machine.

Before talking about the episode itself, first a few thoughts on the new OP and ED. The former sucks while the latter is a pleasure to listen to (something I actually expected; the ED being better, that is).
Now, this week's PP was interesting. Not all shows focus on *every* character's background so seeing this one do it is nice. But rather than Yayoi's past I was more intrigued by Rina's message concerning the Sybil System. It is a fucked up system in my eyes and eventually it will spell doom for humanity if they stick with it. I, too, would rather devote myself to 'unauthorized' music than accept that nonsense. I'm looking forward to seeing Rina again; which is bound to happen.

dayumm those were some nice abs and pecs in that new ending there. although i have to agree, the new op and ed songs suck compared to the old ones. i liked learning about yayoi. virtually nothing has been said about her up until this point and she actually seems like a decent person instead of a stone cold bitch like they were making her out to be. i like the anarchy theme and comparing sybil to a fascist system. all very interesting. i love anime that digest the nature of humanity.

This episode wasn´t bad, but they should have either showed Yayoi´s backstory earlier or not bothered with it in the first place. Trying to suddenly characterize a character who hasn´t had feelings for 12 episodes at this point is like trying to come up with an excuse, or just to say "Look at us! All our characters can get character depth. Aren´t we great?"
I would have preferred her to have a few minutes of every episode for herself instead of doing an entire episode all about her.

To me, the most important part about this episode was that they revealed something that could turn out to be an important fact: There actually are people who are trying to fight the Sybil system. Not everyone is just sitting around, complaining or simply accepting it.

Not the greatest episode but i can see why it was a needed one, aside from character back story via flashback it also brings into light the problems of the system which was already being heavily questioned based on the fact that they couldn't kill the guy last time.

It was cool to get some background on the characters and after the break was as good a time as any.

Real solid anime this. Good characters and good writing.

I'm okay with new OP and ED, liked previous ones much more though, both in terms of visual sequence and songs. I feel that Abnormalize was much more distinctive :D

As for the episode, it was good. I'm sort of glad they decided to postpone with current story and instead gave us some further insight on Sybil and rehab system. Rehab system was the highlight of the episode for me. I mean, a mental institution with classical music, white walls and sleeping gas? Pretty messed up. Even more so, when Kogami mentions that it's next to impossible to emerge from there with a stable set of mind. Just further proves that sybil system is a sugarcoated atrocity. So in a sense that there's a possibility of Akane getting her Hue clouded and maybe undergoing a treatment program, this was sort of relevant to show.

Now, that's how you do a Character Development episode, the only bad thing is that it came out of nowhere, specially after last ep but the episode itself was great, I liked that they showed the guy that died, quite a crazy guy indeed.

Btw, why did they have to change OP/ED, the old ones were great, now I'll have to skip them.

srsly, how can you show a cliffhanger, disappear for a few weeks and then re-appear with a character development episode? the episode itself was great executed imo, but i think we all were expecting more.

anyways, it's was nice to know a little bit more about Yayoi and to see how was the inspector life for Kogami (also i know everyone has said this but, the dead guy looks like a complete ass)

I dont think we've seen this much of Yayoi this entire season. Kinda odd giving her an entire episode of backstory after such a huge development during the last episode.

I like backstory episodes, it adds depth to the show. It showed that Kogami was still a bit of an A-hole even when he was an inspector, Ginzo was...the same idiot which shouldn't surprise me.

I wonder if Rina will re-emerge.

Yay a Kunizuka episode! And some Sasayama. Now just waiting on some character development for Shuusei and Masaoka >:3 I agree that this would have been better early on rather than after the previous cliffhanger, but oh well.

And the Sibyl system has some problems with the arts in general, eh. That's depressing, but not really surprising.

The episode was good, but kind of like hitting a wall when you're running at full speed.
I was really excited after 11, and they didn't even give us a hint towards what happened next so that kind of dulled me a bit. Like they put us to wait anxiously for two weeks and now they don't even show us what happened next. It's frustrating.

Still I enjoyed it. Nice to learn more about Yayoi and her reason for becoming an enforcer. Never would have expected something like passion for music would make your hue darken. And it was kind of sad how she parted with her friend.
I wonder if the next episode will be about Shuu? Probably not, since he said he joined after Kogami went bad. It would have been nice to see a bit more about Tomomi, I really like that old man.
I liked meeting Sasayama, pity he died.

I mean, his hair is ridiculous even now but... I pity him. I seriously pity him from the bottom of my heart. So much I can't hate him anymore.

Well, this was a nice episode, but it seemed a bit out of place. I liked the OP, both the song and the visuals, but I liked the first one better (it was more unusual). Liked the ED song, can't really judge the visuals yet, as we only have had them for a few seconds. We'll see what they'll show us next time. It was nice to see Yayoi's past and I really liked Sasayama's character, he's a badass bastard, just like Kogami described him.

Well, to those who wonder what the next episode is going to be... According to spoilers...

While I expected to see more after that awesome last episode, I really liked this one; one thing I think PP lacks is proper characters' backgrounds, and finally we saw more from Yayoi, with well executed flashbacks. Plus I got the feeeling it wasn't all just "background" and Rina will show up later ...(considering even ep 3 and 4 cases had a part in the main plot)

I hope we get to see some more also from Shuu, the old man and the hot doc.

New OP is definitely a step back; don't like the song and neither the visuals.
ED song is good but not "Namae no nai kaibutsu" level. And lol @everyone's naked

I was a little disappointed that Episode 12 didn't continue from where Ep 11 left off but I'm thankful that they told Yayoi's story. After watching this episode I re-watched the episodes before and had a deeper appreciation of her personality. It makes sense now why she was the one who comforted that girl who lost her friend.

I'm impressed that Yayoi, despite being labeled as a latent criminal by Sybil (prolly) because she was too passionate about her art, still chose to be an Enforcer. I kind of expected her to take Rina's side..?

I'm really looking forward to a flashback about Shuu! :D
