| Pretty much what the title says. It needs to be a katana. Someone before recommended Inuyasha as a male with a katana. That is not a katana. That is an enormous demon sword. Although I loved the series, it's not what I'm looking for. So yeah. Guy with a katana. Any genre. Prefer romance but not needed. Thanks for the help. |

| Samurai Champloo is probably the best fit. One of the (3) main characters uses a Katana and it's got a lot of action going on. House of the Five Leaves also features a Ronin Samurai, but there is not a lot of action. Also, I'd say Ga-rei Zero is worth watching for its Katana action sequences. But, the wielders are not guys. Edit: It should be noted that the OP has already seen Rurouni Kenshin and Seiken no Blacksmith (which, indeed, was terrible). |

If you haven't seen the ova Trust and Betrayal (Tsuiokuhen) you are truly missing out. Personally, I think it's the best the franchise has to offer. You may want to pick up the manga where you left off as well, the last arc was pretty solid. |
