| The metaphor of defeating an army of women by cutting off Lafresia's clothes and shaming her to the brink of suicide would be really controversial and sexist nowadays. That said, I hope the citizens get to live alongside humanity on Earth. Frankly, that's what should've happened in the first place. lol. Whatever. |

| Captain Harlock is way too kind to be honest, but really this sure was an amazing episode and a good ending for this series if it would've been the last episode. But as this is not the case and one more remaining I do wonder what will happen in it! So without further ado let's find out what the last episode will offer us. |

Sadly, The Mazone doesn't really come up in any subsequent works, aside from a brief mention in passing in Endless Odyssey, which is a semi-reboot. |

| Harlock has defeated the Queen, but after seeing red blood on her skin, he decided to spare her life. She said "I will leave." Does she mean that she'll abandon Earth, or that she'll abdicate the throne as Mazone Queen? |

| man so many doubts about rafflesia, and reading here that the mazone arent really mentioned in other works its sadddd. What does it mean that red blood?? I have my theories but not clarity, also "I will leave"?? she leaves and the civils go to earth and some sh? a lot of theories that you can make but that's just a theory, a game theory. |

| Well, that's too bad. I wanted to learn more about the Mazon and Lafresia. Why does she bleed red? I didn't think we'd see the clothing battle damage thing done in this anime, but I can see how it can be symbolic in the case of Lafresia's defeat. I liked that strange illusion of the undead Mazon. Lafresia's parting words, does she mean she will stop fighting to go off to die somewhere, or perhaps she means something else... |
