Who placed the rose at place where Saya sleeps? O_o

Haji? Solomon? WHOOO!!!
I can't be David and the first two options ... well hard to tell ...

Well nice anime, i give it a 9! To many filler episodes, or i would have given it a 10.

They try to make you wonder but i would think it was Solomon since he gave her the rose in the past. The Series was good overall. But you are right, WAY too many filler episodes.

I gave it an 8 - 8.5 Rating, Subbed only of course.
I can't stand the Dubbed Adult Swim version. That version was terrible.

though it would have been less dramatic of a conclusion it would have been nice if they managed to come up with a solution to Saya's need to hibernate. :(

I really enjoyed this series. All the characters were interesting and great story. I like the way it ended too. Watch with the Adult Swim dubs, very good, one of the few anime I watch in dubs.

The series should be at least ten eps shorter, it was getting damn boring at some moments - curse you, fillers! Anyway, I liked Blood+ only till ep 49, this last one was soooo sad and moving that it became ridiculous, and Amshel's resurrection was simply stupid.

Its Hagi.

Solomon died. He had a bit of Saya's blood on him, and he collasped on Amshel.

I hate endinds like these. Its sad that its over, yet I'm happy for everyone.

My only wish was that Kai was a chiropterian.

The twins are cute.

The ending was sad... and I'm pretty sure the flower must be from Haji, because in past Haji gave the same kind of flower to her and the ribbon as well made it more obvious it was from him

at first I thought Haji was dead, but when I saw the flower, I rethought maybe hes alive

Considering that I only started this series because I liked the OST, I'm satisfied with how it went. The ending was a bit annoying at parts (see convenient lightning strikes + randomly coming back from the dead), but overall it was a "good" end.

I got rather mad that Haji dramatically dies for absolutely no reason (he just stood there and let himself get impaled...and then stood there while the building crashed down on his head...and probably just lay there as a bomb incinerated the area), but the ribbon at the end assured me that he was just too cool to die.

And thank god there was no dramatic "I love you, Saya!" crap from Kai. I usually like all of the characters in a series, but I've been wanting him to die since episode 1. I was quite worried that the writers were going to try and shift him from the brother role to the lover role, and I'm pretty sure they were thinking about it...but him being 50 years old when she wakes up again should put a stop to that nonsense.

Anyways, doubt anyone will read all of that, but it's helped me understand how I feel about the series.

The lighting strikes weren't that random, the pole was covered in blood and high off the ground; makes for a good lighting rod. I just wish that Kai was a chevalier other than that the show was perfect.

A 'standard' ending...wasn't that great but it wasn't terrible either. Haji is probably still alive because he only got impaled by Amshel and it's not like that didn't happen to him a 100 times throughout the series. Overall I'll give it 8/10.

Well you're suposed to beleive that Haji is dead because of Operation D bombing the place and not because he got stabbed witch was just to make escape impossible for him xD.

Awesome serie, 10/10 for me and it goes straight into my favorite.

I completely agree (with wanting him to die and him being a lover-BLEH), although I was okay with him in episode 1. I think it was around episode 6 where I am like 'this character is just totally worthless. Can we just drop him now? K thanks.'

Why would the twins be 85? I'm confused. She only sleeps for 30 years...the kids are chiropteran queens...

Kai was a useless character. He needs something to do for the next 30 years. I say let him. Bout time he found a use for his annoying self.

All in all I rather like the dubbed since I am a dubbie. And I'm pretty biased about the ending (it was def Haji who left that rose-it was pink and had a ribbon) since it is my favorite anime. Plus they finally KISSED! Thank you GOD. I was squealing like a little fan girl.
Ah well. To each their own. :D

I wondered about him as well. I'm pretty sure she sliced him up....who knows...maybe there wasn't any blood left on the blade.

The twins are ADORABLE!

I kinda wished Kai would become a chevalier, but maybe one of the twins will change him. =P

I'm assuming Julia and David FINALLY got together, since she is pregnant. Yay!

Kai carrying Saya up the steps to the tomb...sigh. Bittersweet ending. Happy to see the rose with the ribbon and knowing that Haji is still alive. <3

It wasn't just that that was trapping him. The entire fucking roof also fell on top of him too. I'm assuming that after that the bombing wasn't too hard to survive.

This was one of the questions left unanswered at the end of the anime that really bothered me. I suppose it's mostly because it could have possibly led to the other 10,000 questions being answered.

As for why Nathan is still up and among the living: It's stongly suggested by various clues sprinkled throughout the series and almost stated outright in his comments near the end of the anime that he's either Saya's mother or Saya's mother's Chevlier. Personally, I think that the first possibility is by more likely based on a couple things.

First, and this is less obvious in the translation both sub and dub, Nathan uses the feminine manner of speaking. The only real way to translate this into english is to make him speak in a flamboyantly gay manner, so it's not as obvious. Second, the show seems to make a point of specifically showing us that chevliers(Amshiel-> some random Red Shield chick whose name I cant remember) can perfectly transform into the opposite sex when they get old enough and then later shows us that this also applies to queens(Diva->Riku). We also never see what Joel does with Saya's mother's corpse and if Diva and Saya could have been resurrected by blood then their mother may have too.

All in all I liked this series but the ending had too little closure; leaving us with many unanswered questions.

Obviously, the flower is from Haji, which has been reiterated several times in this thread. But overall, the episode (and ending) was completely lackluster in my opinion.

First of all, Diva's end was not that sad in the least. She had been an evil devious character throughout the entire series. Let's not forget she raped Riku.... Only after she has the kids do we see any sign of a heart in Diva, but that still doesn't change she and Amshell's plans for the rest of the world. Wanting to make a family is not the same as mass mutation of most of the people on earth.

Second, the character of Haji makes me so mad (and the main reason I write this comment, to get it off my chest). He is completely without spine and emotion. He is basically Saya's robot the entire series, and then finally, in the last 15 minutes, he decides to stand up to her? And Kai had to punch him in the face to do it! He and Saya have been together for over 100 years and he can't show any more emotion toward her throughout the entire series?? When he "died" in Operation D, I couldn't have cared less. Maybe if their relationship had been more developed as an understanding, caring, emotional relationship from the beginning (or as it appeared it was going when they were in Russia), Haji's "sacrifice" would have been more emotional. But it wasn't, because Haji's a robot and I don't care. Oh, and I usually like Crispin Freeman who played Haji. Actually, I usually like him a lot. But the complete lack of emotion and character development of Haji in this series really set me back on him. : (

Third, the ending was completely foreseeable... especially if you anticipate a happy-go-lucky, everyone-have-a-tea-party ending.
1. Diva had to die.
2. Saya had to live.
3. Either Kai had to become a Chevalier or Haji had to live, but not both.
4. Saya was going to raise the babies.

1 and 2 should be obvious. 3 is less obvious on its face, but here's why it should be. Saya lives forever. She needs someone to spend eternity with her-- and that person would have to be a romantic interest. That could only be 1 of 2 people, kai or haji. Either way would have worked, but not both. Otherwise it would have ended with this eternal love triangle that would have just made everyone upset. That's how you know the flower at the end is haji's (besides the obvious symbols). Saya needs someone to spend eternity with, and if its not Kai (he's not a chiropteran), then it has to be Haji. Also 4 has to be so because, let's face it, with the happy ending that was coming, no one was going to kill 2 babies.

Lastly, the ending was annoying for the "unique" twist with the blood. What an uninteresting and convenient turn of plot that Diva's blood was no longer effective after the pregnancy. Why not? What could have possibly changed? Her entire genetic structure and ways of producing blood changed with the babies? It annoys me that something like that could just happen for no reason except to add 30 seconds of plot drama and set up the everything-ends-happy ending.

The one redeeming characteristic about the ending was what ended up happening with the other characters-- specifically Kai, David, and Mao.

Mao and the journalist was a long time coming. I was waiting for them to start to get together since they first started their business relationship. It was strange to see her pursuing Kai for as long as she did when the obvious choice was to go after the journalist.

We can also assume that David and the doctor (i can't remember her name) finally do the same. yay.

And finally, Kai's ending was extremely satisfactory, but it took me a while to realize why. At first, I wanted him to be a Chevalier after Haji kicked the bucket. I figured he would be best to fill the role. But when he didn't and Haji is still alive (see point 3), I realized that Kai is just finishing being like George. Kai can know raise the queens and be the father to them that George was to Saya. The symbolism and symmetry is very powerful, especially since i found the relationship between Saya, George, Kai, and Riku as a family to be the most compelling and well done of the series. George's end was much more emotional than anyone else's in the whole series.

Thus, if anything, the ending was satisfying for the brief, 10 seconds that we see Kai playing dad. It finally comes full circle with the initial drama of the series, that of family and the power of connection that can develop within one. Kai is finally fulfilling the role that he was being prepped for the entire series--being George II.

Probably because he stated in 49th ep that he is Saya mother's Chevalier, and Saya's blood only kills Diva's Chevaliers.

This ending fails. It should have ended at ep. 49 with minor changes (babies being slaughtered, for instance).
Too bad, the series was promising and had some interesting details (I pointed out the characters' ability to fluently speak foreign languages several times).

I think it was Haji with the pink rose and the blue ribbon.
And we all know that he waits for Saya, because he loves her so much :D

I have a question - is Kai a Chevalier or not?
Because I think he does not age and Diva bites him or so .. I'm not sure :O

Great anime.

Was not as touchy as i thought it would be as i dont think i cried in this anime Which i done to plenty others.

Riku died which was great.

Kai got left alone with 2 twins he dont have any connection with.

Haji dident die because the only thing that could kill him is Diva's blood, some very heavy rocsk are not enough of course. Which is the same reason why Amshel came back to fight once more. Some weak lightning cant kill him off.

Im supriced tho to see that Nathan or whatever his name was all alive again

And the part of Saya having to go to sleep was kinda lame. Even tho it was destinied to happen. the miracles Julia did, keeping her awake shouldent be that hard.

Mao and reporter going on another adventure if nice. Too bad you dident see any relationship development there

As for most sad moment during the anime for me was the fact Irene died. Would loved to see her continue on with a relationship with Kai. The fact Kai got a siscon and went after Saya among all those he could have was just lame. I mean Irene well she died. Mao. And that other girl in the house they stayed for some episodes.

And also the bad person in the anime was not really Diva so much. But Amshel who used Diva.

So well great anime. Which almost should be 10/10. But some stuff i dident like here and there and the fact i disliked the ending even tho it was nice to know Haji dident die. The anime kinda lacked background information on people imo. Would be nice to see some of that other than Saya/Haji which was nice to see. Oh well :D

I give it an 8/10 due to not top enjoyment and i think it lacked to much info on the history of the characters. And of course bad ending ! Animation, sound and story was great tho. Not the best openings and endings i heard but they were okey.

I am wondering too...

I can say it was a good ending. Happy ending.
Saya returned to Okinawa with Kai, and they lived like a real family.
David having babies with Julia.
Lulu alive.
Lewis still fat^^
Haji is alive and waiting for Sayas wakeup. They will meet again in 30 years and can live happily together watching after Divas babies and teach them to not exterminate all mankind^^

But the cocnlusion of Diva's plot was awful... She died so easyli even if in previous epidode she beat Solomon all by herself... And Amshel's resurrection at the end was just pitiful. Solomon was my favourite so i don't like his death in this darl alley either. But I'm glad that he became Saya's Chevalier.

I liked this series even though the beginnning was really borring:) 7/10

Disappointed and Disgusted.

Disappointed in the plot.

Disgusted in Saya's hair, my bangs were longer before my haircut.

If it were Solomon, the rose would be blue.

During the whole series, I felt like I had to watch it, not that I wanted too as much as I had too.

Nathan was the most interesting point in Blood+ in the end. So he probably is Saya's and Diva's mom's Chevalier.

Characters were all over the place, especially their strength, that was a complete failure. In the end, they rushed it and it all looks like a mess when I look back at the episodes, but at least it ended in a happy ending.

6/10, but I think I'll give it a 7 because of the opening music, Aozora no Namida and Colors of the Heart. If they continue this, I hope they start all over with a better plot that will actually make me want to watch this with excitement.

This wasn't terrible... but it wasn't great either. Good to keep me entertain while drawing and coding i guess but not an anime to just sit and watch.
I'm still wondering why Saya didn't just kill the babies... after all they just become a burden for Kai now since she will go to sleep.
The ending would have being so much better if they would have foreshadow the fact that Diva's blood was no longer effective.
The ending with Mao and the journalist was kinda there... after all she was aware that Kai was never going to love her as she did him so she moved on.
I hate the way Kai ends (I'm pretty sure George would have also frown upon since is very lonely).
It was a 50 episodes anime, and yet they told so little as a story

Actually this feels a lot like Occult Academy, good Intro, decent Ending, but why so many episodes in the middle.

This gets a 7/10 imho and no the ending is not sad
huh?

this really ended better than i thought it was going to. all i cared about was haji living because he was the one character in this show who really deserved to. glad saya decided to live, and keep the girls alive. and damn kai is suchhh a martyr. it makes me sad how pitiful he likes being. i was hoping he would end up with mao cuz she was badass as hell and totally shouldve stayed and run omoro with him. haji needed to stay alive for saya to have someone to wake up to. she cant just wait for everyone she loves to die ahead of her. that would be way too depressing. and lulu!!! god i loved her, excellent that she gets to stick around. also, nathan ftw. am i the only one who thought that guy was epic as fuck?

this is what I don't understand! Why is the gay guy alive? is he the Chevalier of Saya's mom?

sigh of relief when Kai didn't end up with Saya or else I'd be hating this anime/series. Totally hate good anime heroine that ends up with a non-biological relative
