| Show adults Queen's Blade, Elfen Lied, and pretty much almost everything on my list and then say it's for kids. They won't say it because they will know it isn't just for them. There are also a certain aspects of western cartoons that aren't for kids either like Spongebob season's 1-3. Those were intended for all ages and enjoyable before season 4 and above made them completely stupid and childish. Also South Park and Futurama and ets. Not for kids. |

| Funny thing is, a lot of anime considered "for kids" in Japan, like Bleach or Death Note, would probably be considered to violent and/or dark to air on a kids channel in the US. |

| I think people come to the conclusion that anime is for kids because every western cartoon that is "for adults" are always parodies of the american lifestyle, like in The Simpsons or South Park. This closes their minds to the idea that animated series can be aimed towards a more mature audience without being specifically about this theme. The fact that most people have a superficial knowledge on anime doesn't help either, most of them think it's divided into "kid's shows" and "hentai" only, because that's what's mainstream in the west. That's just what I think, though. |

| Honestly i think that anime ''is not '' for children; even those animes that little kids could watch, they won't be able to understand it as well as if they were teenagers; and teenagers won't be able to understand it the same way as if they were adults. That's how things naturally work...after all anime is made by adults, so thinking of it as something childish-only in the first place is wrong. But we know that usually that kind of opinion comes from someone who doesn't even watch anime, so their argument is invalid. |

| I don'dt care what those people say, about pretty much what I do or my hobbies, then again I always was that way. I tried at times to show some of these folks the more adult nature of it, in fact how it mostly is. But to no point in almost all cases. Its a deadman's game. More so with the older generation or anyone that calls it "jap crap". So who cares? I just spin it around if they keep pushing and make fun of some of the crap they watch or hobbies they have, that I find pointless. Tit for Tat. Often times it shuts them up pretty good. lulz |
