| This was seriously a lovely episode! I love the atmosphere in this, it has such a strong tangible feeling it's trying to convey! The art in this episode is great too! Lots of cool background shots and animation! The design of the Kitsune is super cute too! Ahhh, I can see myself returning to this episode in the future Also was this the first time we learn that Shinobu plays piano? I don't feel like I've seen that before |

| Interesting thing about this episode for me, for some reason I thought in my head that this was the 2nd time we’ve seen the little fox, but then the 2nd half of the episode came and it felt extremely similar to what I thought I’d seen before. Turns out, I completely forgot this episode was redone in the remake and I was mistaking my memory of it for being here in the OG show lol, made me feel really stupid. But that aside this episode was so damn good here, I enjoyed it in the remake but there were several things that made it better for me here. The main thing being the entire first half of the episode, the choice of ost was so good and the art was phenomenal, I got quite a few screenshots, and Shinobu’s inner monologues went very well with the music and scenery. And also just having all that buildup to the 2nd half was really good. And of course I really liked that fast bit where that boss man that loves Shinobu appeared, it was so random and insane which made it hilarious lol. Definitely one of my favorite episodes so far, and one of the best Shinobu episodes as well. |
