One of Kite's special abilities is HACKING GATES. All he really had to do was close the doors, or move the exits to the other side of the same room like a game of Portal. | -credits roll- THE HELL?! I SPENT ALL THIS TIME WATCHING FOR THIS?! -sees the clip after the credits- ... Oh. I knew that. The ending was expected, Rena got saved, magical friendship, et cetera. I'm not disappointed or anything though, I quite enjoyed this series, and... And... I still haven't gotten my Puchi. At any rate- 8/10 |

| This series was overall nothing like .hack// sign the which is the main reason why I watched it. Kinda disappointing in it's own way though I didn't dislike it. 7/10 |
| It was really meh though. The World is saved and everyone is happy so that's a good thing I guess. Kinda sucked that we never got to see anyone's faces IRL. 7/10 |

| ...I think they skipped the final battle or whatever. Yeah. I think they skipped stuff and we're just supposed to assume that Shugo and Rena solved everything in that last flash. Goodness gracious. |
| Yep, that was extremely disappointing. Every single time Rena screamed out "Oni-chan!" it took away part of my soul. Battle was meh, animation was meh, show overall is meh. Hopefully I'lll never have to rewatch this mess. |

| Quite a lovely ending of this series. This series is on its own quite interesting. This seems to be also targeted to a younger audience while the first dot hack series was a for a more mature audience with less slapstick comedy and a very hard touch of psychological drama. While this is just pure lollygagging in The World with some cameos from the OC dot hack series. Still this was quite enjoyable and because it had a more joyful atmosphere around it compared to the original more serious and dark, it was therefor also quite pleasant to watch! All in all a good future side story of the events surrounding The World! |

| going to save the world with the power of friendship! no, seriously, instead doing some hack deep final scene they finishing it like this? the series was interesting and all, but have really low points, the story were good, if it was directed better. 5/10 |
