| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- KeyHoleTV was not working properly (login time out) the first half, so I had to wait for raw to come out... One on one and Taichi is sad that he cannot fight against Arata. That girl that she passed through in last ep., from Kagoshima, caught her interest. And she wears snowman shirt. And she's queen? That girl made that guy that thought Chihaya interesting is mad. That guy lost to the queen the first. She got the queen second. The old lady teacher records everyone's game and also learning about karuta. The queen is too fast that there's no sound. Taichi got a break, so he went to check Chihaya out. He knows about the queen. Chihaya thought about the first time she had with Arata. The light turning off suddenly made Chihaya to think though. And Chihaya learned "seme karuta". lol @ realizing her opponent is left-handed and realizing what she did later. When concentrating, she got two cards (first card she got during the real competition and Chihaya card), but her opponent is in dark aura. |

| Chihayafuru is one of my favorite, currently-airing series', but I found myself just a tiny bit bored with the usual pattern of Chihyu's slow start/strong finish style of play. Ah well, maybe I'm feeling a tad nit-picky. It's still very enjoyable! |

| Yup we all were right about her being Queen there :) Is it just me that realize that Chihaya and The Queen is somehow similiar? They both have the same tasted in T-Shirt lol. The Queen getting seriously now ! Can Chihaya defeated her in the next episode? |

| So I saw Chihayafuru anime and decided to give it a shot. I thought I'm watching episode 1. So, basically, I watched whole 14th episode waiting for an explanation of so many things, like characters and the game. It never came. I liked it though. At the end I saw number 14, not the number 1 I thought is there xD Gotta go to 1st episode now to understand what the heck I just watched, but to be honest, it wasn't hard to get at all :D |

| They cut it at the best part!!!!!! First ongoing anime that's driving me mad with it's cliffhangers! Although it was Chihaya's typical losing-winning streak coming on, this had to be one of my favourite eps. So good! The Queen and Chihaya do seem alike, and I LOVED that moment of distraction for both of them! Too cute :3 Hope Chihaya makes a strong come back! |

| This is one of the only animes that has ever made me want to jump up and clap and scream "YEEEEEESSSS!!!!!". It's just... excellent, in my opinion. This was one of my favorite episodes so far. |

| Well even thought Chihaya won against the Queen in the next episode it doesn't mean that Chihaya will be the Queen. I don't know what happend, Chihaya only had 2 of her best card. So how are she supposted to win over silent karuta? I do looking forward for the next episode. |

| I don't think Chihaya's going to win. Well, moreover, I don't want her to win. It would be too... lame. However, it would be cool if she turned to be the Queen and that Arata went from B to A. Okay, so never mind what I said there. It is very acceptable for Chihaya to lose. Life is hard. New best friend detected and she just happens to be the Queen. She certainly has the looks of a queen, despite she's wearing that t-shirt. Oh, and that Kyoto-ben. I wonder when Arata is showing up. Damn you, CLIFFHANGER! |

| Loved the episode, but I thought the way how Chihaya made a miraculous comeback was kinda sketchy. The queen is pretty cool, but I don't really like her yet. I thought Arata was gonna come in instead of Taichi, but I guess that would be way too cliche. By the way, I can't possibly fathom how Chihaya will win against the queen. I think she HAS to lose, or else it would've been way too... unrealistic? |

| i think that Chihaya will lose on the next week... someone told that they would be rivals in karuta and in love... i really thought that the queen looked like the female version of Arata, somehow.. x-x i want arata to appear... but i dont want him to be a hero or something like that.. i just wanted that they met for a second or two... like.. she was leaving the tournment and he would appear and calling 'Chihaya!' .. something like that.. but i guess not, lol xD can't wait for next week!! :3 |

| Does defeating the queen and wining the individual tournament make Chihaya the new queen? If not I don't think there's a problem for her to win against Shinobu although like everyone else here I don't think she will win. |

I think the Queen title is decided by a separate challenge match or something, this tournament has nothing to do with it. The problem with Chihaya winning this match is that Shinobu is so completely out of her league at this point, for her to win now would be ridiculous. Loved the episode, good to see Chihaya bounce back as usual. Don't know if she'll take any more cards, but she's certainly got her opponent's attention. Shinobu seems like an extremely competitive person. |
| Funny. I thought the episode just became available yet there's already three pages of comments here. I was about to post a comment during the OP but as I couldn't write fast enough, I had to postpone it since I got hooked once the show started again. Although the episode's focus was elsewhere, I enjoyed Taichi's thoughts before the tournament began. A players don't play against B players. And of course, he thinks about Arata and Chihaya. But there was some good, tense drama in this episode and it's nice to see her competing again after the long break and the previous episode's debacle. Chihaya needs to develop some techniques for clearing her mind before the match. Otherwise she'll always have to come back in every match against high level opponents. Regarding all the talk of the 'Queen'... it made me smirk as all I could think of was the Beelzebub episode in which Furuichi was running around the school crying out 'Queen!' as they searched for Kunieda. |
