| Hmm, I gotta side with Pokedude97 on this. The other shorts all had characters we knew, there was no point in having this video with unknown characters. I mean why the fuck is this project being made anyway? Because the fans want more TTGL, not random characters we dont give a shit about. I was watching it thinking "were any of these in the anime? Am I not a fan enough to recognise them? If none of them were and this is a lame 'alternate universe' scenario, then why should I care about anything that is happening on the screen right now?" Lame. There's nothing to establish this is an 'alternate reality' either logi74, because there are no recognisable characters, so it actually isnt an alternate reality. It's an entirely new reality. Its a fanboy vision. This isnt like the dream montage we got near the end of the series, which lends credibility to the other shorts so far. This is more like a fanfic of the early part of the series with made up characters rebelling, while Kamina and co were off doing their own thing a hundred miles away. Still lame. |

| I'm not 100% sure they're completely new characters. At least the pilot of Lagann resembled something like Gimmy/Kamina, the primary kid standing around resembled Simon a bit, I could have sworn I saw Kinon in there, not to mention a blonde Yoko. Though, as much as it pains me to say it. I did spend the majority of the video deciding, "Who are these people?" Perhaps I overthought it, but I have to agree. I would have preferred seeing characters who are clearly the ones I know. I wouldn't say this was a bad AMV, but it's a shame they used one of the best songs from the series on this. |

| I read somewhere that the characters are meant to be the kids of certain characters. Yoko and Kamina's kid in lagann, maybe kinon and roshiu in gurren, and viral and tsumma's (his partner in the parallel world) daughter in the plane. With Nia and Simon's kid wasting gar genes in the crowd. |

| I'm 100% certain that these are not new characters. I'm positive that they're simply alternate versions of the characters we know. First character we see, standing in the crowd staring at the cage: Simon Girls in the cage: Kinon, Kiyoh, and Kiyal Red-haired punk: Gimmy Gurren pilot: Darry Pilot of the flying battleship Ganmen: The Anti-Spiral Blond jet (is it a jet?) pilot: Yoko Split-screen Ganmen pilots: Jougan and Barinbou (similar Ganmen, working as a two-man force, seems liks J&B to me) I honestly don't know why people are saying they're new characters. We've known for a long time that these are alternate takes on the characters, setting, etc., so why immediately jump to the conclusion that they must be new characters, just because they look different? They don't all have to feature the exact same things and people we've seen before. |
