| This was another great episode, and I feel like the series really hit its stride once it got past episode 12 or 13. For a 70s anime it's quite unusual to have so many spotlight episodes for secondary characters. Even more unusual to have female characters like Miime and Kei portrayed as capable warriors, instead of damsels in distress. I really like it! As has often been the case, the Leiji-verse was ahead of its time here. The animation was also very good considering this is 1978 Toei we're talking about, and I really liked the unique atmosphere Jura was given with the usage of colors. The scene where the Arcadia rose up on the horizon behind the Juran ruins was another absolutely epic visual. Also, I believe this is the first time we've seen Harlock's sabre gun get used as an actual sword? Miime was surprisingly badass in melee combat. All in all yet another excellent episode in what's quickly becoming my favorite 70s anime. |

| Jura was such a beautiful planet. It's a shame that the Mazone had to destroy everyone on it. Miime is the only surviving Juran, and she's really lonely because of that. The Arcadia is her only home now. |
