Did the phone react as a self-defense mechanism, or because Setsuna is the fourth Cure?

There was an interesting segment in this episode where each girl chose a bowling ball. The color of said ball correlated with their Cure colors, and the red ball correlates with the color of the last to-be-determined Cure. When confronted with choosing between the red ball and the black one, Setsuna's first instinct was to reach for the red one, after which she hesitated and picked the black one.

Given that hinting, I think it's entirely plausible that Eas may end up switching sides.

Man that was another great episode, the villains are struggling with understanding how everything works in this world, Soular's idea was great (as they usually are, this guy is hella competent) but he underrated how easily we can mend problems due to being able to understand the others.

I loved the part with Eas hesitating between choosing the red or the black bowling ball, such a great representation of her current situation, she tried (and nearly succeeded!) To stole Love's linkrun, but a defense mechanism stopped that from happening, I have the feel that is way less that the phone has one and more that it reacted to Eas' potential to become a Precure.

Love is love, really, it make me smile so much how her true opinions towards Setsuna were the same of pure affection and wanting to be close friends.

Love and Setsuna episode, I loved it... OTP, honestly. Love is so genuine too.

That scene with the bowling balls, couldn't be more obvious her future, heh.

Man, Fresh is excellent. It’s the perfected Precure formula and executed consistently well. The symbolism, while heavy-handed, is great and really shows the situation at hand for Setsuna.

Love the villains; Soular is one of the most competent and smart villains in the entire series.

This is just such an unrealistically forgiving, kind, optimistic, and pleasant world and I wish I could live in it.

Setsuna was definitely wishing Love really really deep in her heart somehow didn't trust her, it would make the situation for her that much easier for her, she already has some conflict which she herself has yet to accept.

But knowing that Love trusts her fully with her entire heart seems a bitter pill to swallow. Looking forward to her inevitable redemption, they are building up to it nicely
