| Man, this was a pretty fucked up chapter. The little girl that cried when she saw Yamada Asaemon was kind of funny. Everyone is looking at him like he's crazy for having an umbrella on a sunny day. They don't know that he's using it as training to get use to performing one handed sword cuts for executions during rainy days. Some workers find the body of a nine year old girl as they're digging. They report it to the police and find a piece of cloth with plaster on it. A man named Yoshichi is introduced as a plaster worker. He steps away from his work duty and finds a young girl alone. He proceeds to drag her into the water and strangles her. Then he rapes her body. Damn, what a fucked up asshole. He also claims to have a free pass from Enma from being beheaded and even challenges Yamada Asaemon by dropping plaster on his umbrella, although Yamada ignores him because of his training. The police confront Yoshichi with the cloth and accuse him, but he denies it. They bring in a dog and tell him the dog lead them to him from his smell. He realizes he's caught and confesses to where the girls he's killed are buried. On the day of his execution, Yamada is out sick, so another man is set to do the beheading. As the man is ready to swing, he notices a tattoo on Yoshichi's neck that says the first Shogun's religious name. Yoshichi is trolling them since no one will cut his neck and desecrate a Shogun's name. Unsure of what to do, the police decide to call off the execution until they can figure out what to do. They decide to have Yamada Asaemon do the beheading and blame him for desecrating the Shogun's name. Instead, Yamada skins Yoshichi's next to remove the tattoo before beheading him. Pleased with his quick thinking, the police men commend him for solving their problem. |
| Did the tatoo start going away after it was cut off, or just my eyes fail me? |
| Man, I like this. While not as good as Lone wolf & Cub It still is nice. |
