| The more the merrier. Anime fandom doesn't just extend to the few of us who know what anime "really is" but to everyone who enjoys watching anime. I personally don't like his songs but that's just because of our my music preferences. Anime caters to a wide variety of audiences, and anyone is welcome to join. I would also add that if he really is an anime fan, then it is a testament to how far the reach of anime has become in American culture; anime fans are not a monolithic group with each member having the same interests/preferences as the other, but a conglomeration on individuals and subgroups who are loosely affiliated by their love of anime. |
