Neuromancer, I had it for about like 6 months now but could never find the time to sit down to read it, even though I really wanna read it. But now I am and I'm about 1/4th of the way through and god is it awesome.
It doesn't think, it doesn't feel, it doesn't laugh or cry..... All it does from dusk till dawn is make the soldiers die.

I am reading American Gods by Neil Gaiman, read about half the book so far, fantastic novel so far, also one of the things I like the most here is Gaiman's take on mythology, very creative.

I've been marathoning Twilight again (except for the last book of course). I've become excited about it again after hearing the Stephenie Meyer intends to release the alternate ending which, with any luck, might exclude Renesmee! ^_^ :D

Putting that aside, I'm reading Patient Zero by Jonathan Maberry. It's mostly just for while I'm waiting for HSotD to finish airing so I can start watching it. So far it's been OK. I'm not a huge fan of the terrorist-suspense genre; I was hoping that it would be more about the zombies.

Kushiel's Dart. An interesting AU take on history, adding fantasy elements and an interesting, complex background. I can't wait to finish it!

My current Wheel of Time re-read is gathering steam; I just finished The Great Hunt and I'm about to proceed to The Dragon Reborn. Re-reading the books is a really great experience, gleaning over contextual clues the author left that I missed the first time around.
Also reading The Road by Cormac McCarthy. It's a short book but I can't seem to read more than pages at a time because of the author's writing style. Seems like the only punctuation he uses is a period, which makes me feel like I'm reading a daunting wall of text with no breaks in-between. I'll give it more time before deciding to just watch the movie instead.

I just finished reading Deadhouse Gates, the 2nd novel in the Malazan Book of the Fallen series, earlier today. Loved it as much as the 1st novel in the series but since this 2nd novel introduces us to an almost entirely new set of characters, only around 4 characters from the 1st book have an important role in this novel, I kinda missed many of my favorite characters from the 1st novel, thankfully I will meet them in the next novel :)

As some may know, I am reading a book fully in Japanese. And it's a really boring one. So I decided to take a break, this is killing my brain cells.

This weekend I read:

A Madona de Cedro ("the cipress Madonna") by António Callado. I really loved it, it was so refreshing to read a STORY for once. It's not especially amazing and the narrative falls broken sometimes, but I liked it a lot.

Night Flight by Saint- Exupéry. Meh. I felt like I was reading Starfighter under the shape of a book, and that was a weird experience.

I also started The God of Small Things.

Right now, I'm reading And Another Thing . . ., Eoin Colfer's addition to the original Hitchhiker's series. It had a bit of a bumpy start, but I'm finding myself enjoying it a lot - almost as much as if it had been written by Adams himself. (It helps I'm already a huuuuge Colfer fan already)

I'm just started reading a collection of Kafka's works. I read The Metamorphosis a while ago, and that was really good, so I have high hopes for this. This is an old book from the library, though, so I suspect the translation I have isn't that great.

Just started to read Fyodor Dostoyevsky's "Crime and Punishment" for the 5th time. It's my all time favourite book and will be #1 'till my end. Love the way he shows how guiltiness can change ppl and throw them slowly into insanity. A masterpiece.

Well, I read Songs of a Distant Earth today by Arthur Clarke. I read the entire thing today, so I was able to divulge in the plot completely. It was absolutely amazing. Arthur Clarke never fails to peek my interest. Umm, I'm not currently reading anything now though since I just finished a book. I will be picking up The Myth of Sisyphus by Albert Camus and Imperial Earth by Arthur Clarke tomorrow though.
