I see the movie is coming to a theatre near me. I was wondering if it was necessary to watch the Season 2 first or if this is just a straight replacement of one of the arcs?

It’s a recap of the first arc (which is a prequel) with no new story content so you would be fine watching this and then picking up with episode 6 of season 2!

It's a pity that the scene when gojo is getting slashed and slayed by toji was in black and white

The censored violence was lame. If they were going to do it for the sake of keeping the age rating down, I wish they at least did it more creatively than just turning everything black and white.

It really took me out of it.

The small sketch at the start was nice, and I did enjoy the new credits. I think there may have been a few 1-2 second new shots too, but I'm not entirely sure. It definitely didn't have a new scene.

Having the ghosting gone was awesome, but then again, you could just find and watch the blu-ray version for that. Honestly? I say it's just a slightly worse way to experience Hidden inventory. I enjoyed watching it in Cinema, but I think if you haven't watched jjk, you're better off just watching the episodes. The censored violence isn't worth the bare minimum they added.

So, after noticing the posters everywhere in Japan in late May, I now went to see "Broken Bromance: the movie", and was welcomed with a Black Jack reference right off the bat 🖤
As someone with limited knowledge of the series, and mainly thanks to spoilers, there wasn't a single thing that felt rushed or left me unsatisfied - except for the selective b&w censorship - and I'll likely watch both seasons before the third comes out. Whether you're a stan for the characters, the arc or just the action, you'll enjoy it.
No complaints on my side, Toji's tits Mappa's fights must be admired on the wide screen. Next will be the turn of Nanami's ass the Shibuya incident, since they just announced another compilation film.
