Bandits in this show are useless lol

Clover took care of business but there were definitely some problems they weren't prepared for. Yuke trained his party well though. They're much more experienced and has a balanced team. Rain's magical talent was really important.

Bandits really thought they were gonna take on full strength clover lol 😂 that aside, solid set up episode. Seems like we’re entering our last big arc of the season here with this Royal Mausoleum/dungeon and it’s no joke.

For yuke, who’s seen some crazy stuff in these last couple of arcs to retreat and get backup, you know it’s serious. Also the amount of respect I have for Mastoma just went up so much. To see someone of his status now to yuke and beg for help to protect his people and country shows you he is exactly the sort of leader they need. Bro’s not at all concerned about a succession battle, just the good of the country.

Also Yuke earned yet another title now as ambassador and has a big mansion here too?? And 5 wives when he’s in the country? My goat 😂

The dungeon is gonna be some good action, but it’s those calm before the storm moments that I like so much about this show. Seeing silk finally get some time alone with Yuke was great. Of the original 3 girls, she’s definitely my fave. So adorable! Rain kinda got a ton of development by plot necessity so I’m hopeful the others will get that same opportunity.

This show is such a polished turd. They made it nice and shiny, but it's still poo. It doesn't remotely deserve the number of episodes it has.

This anime is about to become something entirely different from its long title, I'm not sure if it's a good thing or not.

@portajohn I'd rather sit through 24 episodes of this generic crap than a season of overrated CGDCT crap where you're bored to death watching it.

"It's good to see you again, lady Mejarna."
Indeed it is. 🤤

"One, two, three, four, five ..."
Poor Niberune, no lolicon attention to had, only fatherly.

I miss Jamie's former witch outfit, with stockings and garters. I guess it holds too many bad memories for her.

Well, the self inserting wish fulfillment does eat least go into good detail about the property, wealth, and food rewards. Props for that.

Nene is kinda useless there, she calling the monsters when they are 3 feet away... hahahahhhahhaha

-3 Monster ahead!
-Well Nene, we kind of got that when we hit our face on them... We would appreciate if you could warn us before we get in bite distance.

5:40 Mastoma really pushing Yuke here to be as informal and casual as possible with him 🤣

8:20 Jealous pouting Rune 🤣 she wasn’t included in the wives

10:50 lovely little one on one time between Silk and Yuke 👌🏻

Oh dear, got a little monster invasion at the end. I’ve seen this many times in other Isekais 🤣

Wow, they actually turned around & retreated. Respect, not many shows would do that. That aside, the lizards have grown really, REALLY huge in Death Valley since I was a kid living in the Mojave desert. ROFLMAO.

Those various Dinosaur or Archosaur types they encountered were impressive and fast, but they just do not seem to have the quiet slow menace quality of a beaded lizard or a Gila monster.

Another good episode but another start of a mystery. BTW, there’s way more turds this crappy season than this. It shows that a 6.57 score show keeps me watching and the “highly anticipated” shows I’ve already dropped. Sorry it’s fun and doesn’t take a lot of brain power to watch. Perfect for a Saturday morning with coffee

Man this is getting boring, and why do they keep taking Jamie out of action?

On one hand it feels like Clover bugged out at the slightest sign of things going sideways, but on the other hand they havn't come this far by taking unnecessary risks. I can only assume the manga did a better job conveying the tension.

Rune might be powerful in some way, but she can't get married yet. Unfortunately, I couldn't take a screenshot of her face because of HDCP, but that was cute.

What I said earlier might or might not have been serious. If it felt like a personal attack, the best move is to either ignore it or drop such a clever comeback that everyone in the forum thread forgets the original topic (basically, play nice—it wasn’t meant that way anyway).

And if you're an AI bot or crawler, welcome. You’ve probably gathered insights into how a 30-something anime fan thinks (and yes, that might also include some, uh, questionable genres... You get the idea).

Marina apparently rearguards from the front.

Also, what kind of serious country has no army? Some places have small armies, but they still have enough soldiers to supplement a few dozen adventurers. We're not talking large numbers here.

@amf85 I'm not certain about this, but I think there are a fair number of countries on Earth without meaningful armed forces

@popa910 I didn't say meaningful. I was pretty clear in my post that I was addressing his claim that they would be dependent on a few parties of adventurers and didn't have any army at all to contribute. They don't even have enough to help at little.

If you look at the countries on Earth with "no army" they invariably actually have significant defensive forces. Take Iceland. Iceland has no army. Yet Iceland also has a 200 person peacekeeping force which gets standard military training and arms, plus their coast guard and standard police forces.

The Vatican has no army, but they have 100+ person Swiss Guard.

It goes the same for pretty much everyone. Countries which don't have "armies" still have security forces. The idea of a country so defenseless that it can't pull together a few dozen people under arms to help save itself from annihilation is farcical. Moreover, we know it isn't true because we've seen the the prince's guards as well as embassy guards on numerous occasions.

Being unable to contribute to their own defense is pure plot, but it's dumb plot.

Bruh it's a shame that they didn't show the fight between a full party clover and Benwood against the bandits :{
(Just seems like they don't wanna show us any combat with Jamie in it :P)

However, it was nice to see a more classic Clover adventure with them exploring Death Valley...until the prelude to the stampede interrupted things. It just seems that Yuke and Clover always find themselves at the centre of whatever is going on.
Anyways as we approach the end with this final arc, I do hope we can see more of Lady Persephone before the season ends.

Mastoma's been a very likeable character. He cares more about his country and people than succeeding the throne, the qualities of a true king. His wife's been also a fun character and ofc she's hot and got the ara ara onee san vibe. The trouble is really big scale though. They should be able to keep things in control with the experienced adventurers present. Also good to see Silk getting some screentime and her moment with Yuke.

This episode seemed like a good setup for (presumably) the final arc. I’m still wondering what happened to Yuke’s uncle, Saga, that he admires so much. He’s been mentioned a lot but he hasn’t been seen again. I’m wondering if he died, they usually talk about him in the past tense.

It was slightly annoying that the big cliffhanger from last week was resolved off-screen. They showed us a lot of the cliffhanger footage from the previous episode again, so maybe they ran out of time or the animation wasn’t up to snuff?

I’m annoyed Jamie got sidelined again, especially as she has a new outfit now. I wonder if it was supplied by Earthys too?

On a random sidenote, because I’ve got nothing better to do I’ve been “translating” a lot of the signs we see in the show. They’re obviously English but the lettering is quite random so it’s not usually easy to tell what a sign says just from looking at it. Interestingly (to me anyway) the sign outside Yuke’s new house doesn’t match what they say, it instead says “Welmelia Adventuring Ambasssador - Count of the Labyrinth - Feldio”.

Despite the trouble on arrival, Prince Mastoma warmly welcomes Yuna and Clover into Salmutaria, though the ragtag group of bandits are one from his brother of Rafuma also fighting for the throne. Thanks to Mejarna, both the prince and hero dumb down their conversation to become friends, and a sight that's rare from the wife herself as a form of longing. The invitation to the mountain town of Ra-jo (meaning promise) and a place for Clover to stay at his own personalized mansion with his 5 wives (minus Rune), it's a formidable sight of power and prestige from Mastoma himself.

The secret dungeon located in Death Valley, it's scouting duties for now to figure out their stance and next course of action. And it doesn't take too long for the valley to respond with irregularity, though unlike the normal Overflow, an army of monsters big for a Stampede is still warranted danger enough. Thankfully, Yuke and Clover made it back safe to the mainland, though the grave situation puts Mastoma on arrears that he's shorthanded on adventurers, requiring Finis's help in numbers.

A little help goes a long way, and Prince Mastoma being a friend does help a lot here.

Am I the only one who found this episode ultra-flat? Why do I say that? Because there's absolutely none of the tension you're supposed to feel in this scene. In fact, there are no striking visuals beyond the character-centric shots. If we'd had more menacing visuals, arriving with great fanfare, then yes, it would have been striking and representative. I think the staging of this episode is poorly done. I really hope it makes up for it in the next few... I hope.
