Mappa is top 3 studios right now!

if we're doing a Best Studios list it shouldn't just be about the hypest shows, but also about the conditions of labor that the workers at these places are under. This would surely invalidate Mappa at minimum because of their horrid working conditions.

Kyoto Animation, Ufotable, and Ghibli all take the top spots for treatment of their workers and quality releases imo.

Right now It’s ufotable, production IG, and clover works for me. With all the hits Mappa made recently, they still had some misses I can’t ignore. That’s MAINLY because of the unreasonable labor and short timeframe their workers have to deliver their clean work consistently. I would even have Kyoto and Wit ahead too sadly. Back then it was Mappa, madhouse, and sunrise for me but times have definitely changed lol

I'm reminded that Mappa is also animating Solo leveling together with A-1 pictures.

My top 3 are Cloverworks, Madhouse and Kyoto Animation.

I saw a trailer for this Lazarus show and I was very unimpressed by the animation.

Masao Maruyama, who co-founded Madhouse and founded MAPPA as well as Studio M2, is still the chairman of MAPPA. Not saying anything, just found it interesting. Anybody with any empathy feels for MAPPA employees but they have undeniably put out some fire anime. Madhouse proved they still got it with Frieren in my opinion and Studio M2 hasn't made much but Pluto was a work of art.

Top 3 is tough but if I had to in no particular order:
-Studio Pierrot
-Trigger
-Madhouse

In animation? Sure, whatever, in anything else tho, ehhhh, it's all just hype, nothing more, I'm only expecting this to be good cause it's by Watanabe shinichi, and I liked his other work with mappa "terror in resonance", otherwise, mappa might be pretty low for me, with madhouse bones and shaft making the top 3, they have the hype, animation and good anime, and idk about shaft, but I heard bones might even be better in working conditions than a lot of other studios

Production IG and Cloverworks are just as worse as Mappa. I would double down and say Cloverworks is worse than anything rn atm

Think commercially very successful studio along with Toei and Cloverworks ig. My top 3 would be Trigger,ORNAGE and Khara atm

My top 3 is Madhouse, WIT Studio and Kyoto Animation. WIT Studio and Madhouse has almost zero flop in their records, almost every project they worked on was big and goated. Just after that Kyoto Animation also has a very good record and a good working culture unlike Mappa. Overall Madhouse is my #1. Just look at their resume.

@Neko_no_shonen Masao-san left the studio in 2016, he doesn't have any saying in the company, Manabu Otsuuka is the Ceo of the company.

Agreed :/ also it’s not only studios that have a horrible workspace, dude japans whole work culture is extremely toxic :/ I hope they figure that out in the foreseeable future :(
