 The official website of the Ishura anime series announced five additional cast for the second season on Tuesday. The second season adapting Keiso's action fantasy light novel will begin airing in January 2025.Cast Kokuyou Linaris: Nao Touyama (Spy Kyoushitsu) Ozomashiki Toroa: Daisuke Ono (Ao no Exorcist) Kyuuchi no Hako no Mestelexil: Ayumu Murase (Dr. Stone) Jiku no Kiyazuna: Kujira (Mushoku Tensei: Isekai Ittara Honki Dasu) Gyakuri no Hiroto: Megumi Ogata (Jujutsu Kaisen) Produced by animation studio Passione, the first season aired in 12 episodes in Winter 2024. Disney+ streamed the anime worldwide, with Hulu streamed it in the US. Keiso originally began penning the series on the Kakuyomu website in June 2017, followed by Shousetsuka ni Narou the following month. Kadokawa began publishing the novel with illustrations by Kureta under its Dengeki no Shin Bungei label in September 2019. The ninth volume went on sale on February 16, with the tenth volume planned to be released later this year. Monthly Shounen Magazine began serializing a manga adaptation by Meguri in March 2021. Kodansha published the fourth volume on June 17. Yen Press licensed the light novel in English in September 2021 and released the seventh volume on July 23. The eighth volume is scheduled for a November 19 release.
