| Not really, we steins;gate fans are pretty chill about not pushing that belief in everyone's face with a constant "peak, peak peak PEAK", but a lot of us do genuinely believe it's the best anime we have seen... I used to think that, but nowadays, I can't tell you with a straight face that steins;gate is necessarily better than every other show that I have given a 10/10 to, purely because the same way none of the other shows can do what steins;gate does nearly as well, the other shows do things that steins;gate doesn't do nearly as well. They are all a 10/10 for different reasons, so labelling one as the best, would come down to pure taste alone. I can't make a reasonable argument about any of them being the best. |

| Nah, i mean my favorites are mostly popular or get relatively high score in MAL such as Clannad: After Story, Steins;Gate, The Wind Rises, etc. But if you want an example of one aspect like female lead, I can say that it is Love Live! Superstar!! because I love Kanon, her voice captivated me and I love how she overcame her past trauma. So, if someone said love live superstar is the best anime of all time (for all genres), I would be a bit surprised and then realize that the person is just a big fan of the idol genre. However, still for the idol genre, this anime is really good. |
