| I took it more as an aggressive stance against Oushi. Like, "See? Your words don't reach her, you can try but she doesn't want to listen to you." and not against her to prevent from seeing him speak. As someone else pointed out, she could have ducked underneath and see everything but wasn’t interested enough or too focused on Itsuomi, which only added to his point that she chose him and not Oushi. But I can see what you mean. Tbh, Itsuomi didn't have all that wholesome romantic vibes from the start, like touching her head at the first meeting and generally looking somewhat intimidating. I don't think it's inherently bad, maybe he's just a bit touchy and means only well, but I'd like to see his character explored more, whether it's just vibes or there's something else to it. |

I'm not saying that Oushi is good and Itsuomi is bad, I just don't like both of them for different reasons |

| It bothered me only at first moment but then I figured he is just trying to shield Yuki from Oushi being mean to her. Watch it again and watch how Yuki reacts to Oushi. She turns her head away from Oushi in mad at him and then closes her eyes a long moment with her head down trying to block him out. Only then did Itsuomi helped her do what she was already herself doing. Plus like others said he made no effort to prevent Yuki from just moving around his arm. Though i think it would have been interpreted better of Itsu said to Oushi not to worry about her. She only cared about what Oushi was saying because she knew the two were talking to eachother and Itsuomi kept doing it because he was looking at Oushi didnt see what she was doing. She wanted nothing to do with Oushi only moments before. I cant seem to find writing on the social rules of headpats in Japan yet. I can see it is one of the fav romantic gestures not an anime/manga only thing. If they (I more mean Japanese readers/viewers particularly) are expected to not think about it and just self insert as Yuki under presumption that Itsuomi is a future lover and thus see him as one already and just ignore norms or is it actually acceptable norm in some circumstances for a stranger to do that or if it is just his touchiness from other cultures rubbing off on him or what. |

Anyway to reply generally since this got some of y’all heated lol: I don’t hate Itsuomi. I think he’s a good character generally but there are things I don’t like about him. They’re just starting to snowball for me and making this more like a 9/10 show than a 10/10 show for me thus far.
