| Male characters have more neutral appeal while waifu type characters mostly just appeal to dudes. And I wouldn't say a lot of the popular male characters really have husbando appeal to them. (I guess that's subjective though lol). But they're all from shounen and seinen series so it's more like they're guys written for guys. |

| Maybe there's a connection between Shows and Characters featuring in these Shows. Maybe a good character, in a bad Show isn't as popular as a good character in a good Show, cause the end product isn't considered a well made product, everybody knows about -> therefore Characters in bad/less well known Shows aren't as popular. Taking characters out of their popular Shows they're taking part in, discussing their gender out of context doesn't really mean anything....it's irrelevant. It's coincidence, at best. The Top Shows got the most popular characters in it. A lot of characters are male....that's pretty much what this is. Also what is/isn't a "husbando" and if or if not that did matter in the sucess of certain Anime, in the Top 50, is highly debatable... |
