Just so many good memories with Doraemon Your lie in april-If you know you know Anohana-Ending One Piece-2 eps had me crying, but not gonna spoil |

Clannad: After Story is the only anime that made me cry. Although Angel Beats, Charlotte, and Plastic Memories made me very emotional. |
| I teared up watching the penultimate scenes of the 1st and 5th Pokemon movies back when I was a kid. The Bye Bye Butterfree and Pikachu's Goodbye episodes from the original Pokemon Indigo League Season also made me tear up back then. I guess Pokemon is like my kryptonite lol. If I remember correctly, I think I also almost teared up from that one illusion / dream sequence of Viral having a family of his own in episode 26 of TTGL. Hotaru no Haka and Your Lie in April also got kind of close to making my eyes watery, but I held it in and ended up not tearing up. I did feel pretty empty after watching Hotaru no Haka though. Death and saying goodbye seem to be what most of these have in common, but it was the execution and music along with those themes that made them sad in my opinion. |

| I used to be a much bigger crybaby back in the day, so nothing really in recent memory, but genuine tears were shed during Clannad After Story. That series just isn't fair. I still get misty eyed from time to time, but nothing has hit me like that one. Call it emotionally manipulative or whatever, but that one got me. A more recent watch that was incredibly effective was Sonny Boy. That had me feeling this weird existential sadness, but sort of hopeful I guess. They ended it with a song from toe, so that definitely added something. Another big one was I almost didn't want to finish the series when that happened. |
