Low Tide in Twilight and Nerd Project

If they weren't first serialized or published in any of MAL's current whitelisted publishers (Cycomics, GANMA!, KakaoPage, Lezhin Comics Webtoon, Naver Webtoon) then that's probably the main reason why they were denied. It wouldn't matter if they're on other platforms too. 😔

Usually when submissions are denied, you'll get a message from a mod as to why they denied a specific entry.

Low Tide in Twilight and Nerd Project are both on Anilist and Anime-Planet. If you have accounts there, you can track them there in the meantime or in your MAL blog or profile page until MAL decides to add them to the DB.

You can check this thread Manga DB - Recent Entry Merges/Removals/Denials for some brief explanation as to why entries were denied or deleted. I checked but I couldn't find Low Tide in Twilight and Nerd Project, though; they have yet to update it I suppose.

I've also been waiting for Nerd Project here so I can track it. Haven't tried to submit it, though. Sad that it has been denied. Honestly, they should increase their whitelisted publishers since most manhwa are published first by Ridibooks, Mr. Blue and Bomtoon before being on Lezhin or other similar platforms. Maybe they can at least allow submissions from those three...

Yeah, I hope they add them in the future. I like to track here since I use MAL the most.

Flirting 9 to 6 has been denied twice but is now approved. And it's published by Bomtoon, it's also in Lezhin, same with Low Tide in Twilight.

I just found out today that Flirting 9 to 6 is already in the DB while adding some manga to my list.

Bomtoon is already listed in MAL as a 'magazine' although it mostly publishes manhwa digitally. It's not yet listed as a company here https://myanimelist.net/company?q=bomtoon though. The mangaka of Flirting 9 to 6 https://myanimelist.net/people/7707/Yun-hee_Lee has previous works already in the DB while the mangaka of Low Tide in Twilight is yet to be added in the DB.

I checked and Flirting 9 to 6 has a physical book published by Lezhin.

Hopefully, it will soon be approved.

I just submitted Low Tide in Twilight's author to the DB. Hoping the submission gets approved as well as the manhwa.

@Mah_lenneth Could you perhaps change the thread's title to add Low Tide in Twilight and Nerd Project to it? The current thread title is kinda generic. I just chanced upon this before while browsing and saw Nerd Project that's why I replied. It might get noticed if the title is a bit more specific. Thanks in advance.

I don't agree with them. HAHAHA. They should already add the manhwa and the author. It would be easier than denying new submissions every time. I already linked the link for the official physical book by Lezhin in my submission but it got rejected. I'm just gonna roll my eyes 🙄 as I know they will eventually add the title and author one day as there is already a physical book published by one of their whitelisted publishers. Like hello! LOL. Sorry for the rant.
