| Volume 9 Discussion: This volume was really hard to stop reading, Satsuki introduction is great, I like her vibe a ton, and Char has her charms (no I don't find her annoying), as for other heroes, Rui is also refreshing, but the other two assholes can go take a hike, Liliana deserves way better, that is all I will say. Still, tons of new characters were introduced, which spiced up things further. Gotta adore Satsuki a bit more, she sometimes acts as a tsundere and pouts adorably, but can also be just a cool senpai to the others, just a cool beauty (and lovely purple hair), and then at other scenes she is just so pure and genuine with how she is feeling, unlike Miharu, almost looking like a small and eager child (when she first flew with Haruto). Multiple sides compliment her wonderfully and only make her look more forward to future content with her. This late in the game another strong contender for the harem shows up, SWEET~~ One thing I respect this series for is its slow world-building and politics, and it was so meaningful when we got to see Christina facing her younger sister again, obviously, she loves her, but the current situation doesn't allow for anything else. To see things play out to this point was sad and gave both sisters more complexity, and I was already feeling Flora way more from previous volume 7... The dresses the girls used were lovely, thank god for colored illustrations, but I gotta say, I'm not a fan of Princess Charlotte having red hair, blue would suit her better, then again for a striking blue beauty we already got Liselotte~~ The side story with Christina was amazing, she is up to a certain point in the series, one of the harder ones to read, and when she asks Roana if she thinks Rio would be treated fairly in such a kingdom, she is implying not only she recognizes his abilities but also feels they are wasted if he ends up serving such a pitiful kingdom... this kinda of insight is amazing because one can then connect the dots better to how she behaves as she gets older. If I was lucky enough to get visited by Flora's Clauss every single year, like that illustration, I would start to wish Xmas would be every day, that outfit was just a perfect blend of cuteness and sexiness~~ Mod edit: Title adjusted. |
