| I think Sakura is an overhated character. While she may not have had great character development and can be annoying at times, she is not a villain. The only character she ever killed was Sasori. So, why is she the second most hated character? I'm not a Sakura fan myself, but let's not exaggerate and make her the most hated character in anime history. There are things I dislike about her, such as her being annoying and not saying thanks to Naruto, even though he risked his life to save her. Despite this, she seems to prioritize Sasuke over Naruto. In my opinion, she doesn't even rank among the top 50 worst Naruto characters and isn't as good as the main characters |
| I think one reason a lot of people hate her is when she lied and said she loved Naruto. It was very hurtful for her to lie to him. It ended up being very painful for Naruto because of that. |

That scene contrasted how little she has grown compared to Naruto, who got over his childish crush, while Sakura herself still thought he is trying to bring Sasuke back just because he is simping for her. At that moment hating on Sakura went mainstream. Also, credit where credit is due. Calling Sakura "useless" is just wrong. She may be weak when compared to Naurot and Sasuke, but when you compare her to anyone else from her generation she is very powerful, which makes sense, since she was trained by one of the legendary Sennin. Her chakra control is second to none and her healing abilities are a great asset. |

| I didn't like her at all in the first entry of Naruto. I tolerated her in Shippuden and I absolutely loved her in the 150+ episodes I watched of Boruto. |

| Where should I start...I like her too much (I have her in my favorites) so it's very likely that this will make you think I'm a sakutard... but anyway "Sakura only became a ninja to be with Sasuke" It could be true but I don't think Sakura kept this idea forever, she became a medical ninja to help people (without any influence from Sasuke) that's an interesting point,What I mean is: I think she initially joined the academy to be with Sasuke, but over time she realized that this was a stupid thing, and decided to pursue a career in which she helps people,And if Sakura had actually kept that idea (Just wanting to date Sasuke)why didn't she give up on being a ninja the moment Sasuke left? "Sakura never cared about Naruto" So why would she save his life in the ninja war? Why did she clearly say "thank you" after Naruto saved the village?(she gave him a hug too, she was visibly worried)Why would she make the decision to kill Sasuke right after she realized the weight she placed on the promise she made with Naruto? Why did she save his life in the last film?There are many other things but they would look better if I showed them in photos "Sakura is not a good characte" I agree that compared to Naruto and Sasuke she had much less prominence, but let's be honest...Naruto has very few really well-written characters, so any character with a little drama (like Hinata for example) already becomes a very interesting character compared to the others, and Sakura had this little drama and I'll remind you of it: Remember when Sakura decided to kill Sasuke? She did it for Naruto! After realizing the weight of the promise she makes to the protagonist she decides to kill Sasuke alone,If we compare this Sakura who made this decision with the Sakura we saw at the beginning of the anime (who did literally everything for Sasuke) we notice a very big difference,During the period that Sasuke was a bandit she placed Naruto above Sasuke and also placed him above her own feelings...when she said that she loves Naruto she made an attempt to comfort the protagonist,because she had realized that Naruto loved her ,it may seem like I'm exaggerating but seriously...Why else would she tell Naruto that she loves him if not in an attempt to comfort the character? About that scene where Sakura wonders who she would save between Naruto and Sasuke, that IS NOT CANONICAL! In the manga she makes it clear that she would save them both "Sakura hits Naruto, that's why she doesn't like him" I think this is the stupidest...if you search Sakura's "dere" you will find a Tsundere, but what is that? Tsundere is a type of character who acts rudely towards a certain person but that deep down he cares about her, as we can see in other animes Tsundere show this brutal behavior by hitting, I always found it curious that the Naruto fandon complains about this but in other fandons there's no such problem, like the one piece fans who don't judge Nami for hitting Luffy (I love you for that, one piece fans♥๏ธ) I also want to add that most of the scenes where Sakura hits Naruto are fillers "Sakura is not a good mother" I dare Sakura's haters to prove that Sakura is not a good mother without using that scene where Sakura breaks the house... I know Sakura was an asshole in that scene but she apologized to Sarada and she had a regretful expression right after (this is clearer in the manga) I also think it's stupid to only remember this moment when we talk about Sakura as a mother, she took very good care of her daughter, even sacrificing herself to protect her I know this comment was much more of a defense than me saying what I think of her but everything I mentioned above are the reasons I like her (she's also very cute)  |
| She's poorly written because of Kishimoto, who's a terrible writer especially with female characters for some reason lol. She's pretty much the face of female main characters in most battle shonen anime (this also includes the Pokémon anime even though it isnt a battle shonen anime, with every female main character after the end of the Diamond and Pearl series in the Ash anime series), where they are terribly neglected and any development they get feels off. The shipping parts of these characters are especially bad as well (nothing is worse than SakuraxSasuke, NarutoxHinata, and AshxSerena from Pokémon XY/Z though.) |

| She didn't even kill Sasori, that was Chiyo via her puppets, and even that was implied to have been suicide on Sasori's part. I have to laugh because there's quite literally hundreds of "why do people hate Sakura?" topics here on MAL and you'd think that after debating the subject for 15 years people would at least know the answer to the question by now. |

| Absolutely. Most loud internauts consuming that kind of "trash" have zero interest for characters anyway, they'll just love/hate one for stupid reasons. P.S.: I came to miss Sakura's early running gag (inner thoughts). |
