| After recently competing this series, I was inspired to rewatch The Sound of Music. Twice. I hadn't watched that film in at least ten years and had forgotten how good it is. If watching anime makes you want to visit Japan, watching this film will make you want to visit Salzburg, Austria. Just wondering, did anyone else rediscover this film as a result of seeing its name-variant The Family Singers used in Skip and Loafer, or perhaps even discover it for the first time? It turns out there's a 40-episode anime, Trapp Ikka Monogatari (The Trapp Family Story), that tells the story of Maria and the von Trapp family. This version evidently sticks much closer to their true-life story than The Sound of Music, which was heavily altered for theatrical and dramatic purposes. I might have to watch it, if I can find a copy. |

| Yeah. I too really like this movie and when they reveal the plot of the drama in the anime, I realized it was adapted from that movie. If anyone still hasn't watched that movie, please do yourself a favour and watch it. It's really good. |
