| I tossed between 7 and 8, ended up with a 7/10 which is still good for me. The animation and music were incredible, but the plot was a bit predictable and lackluster imo. What did you think? |

| i gave it a 7 because it had been a long time since I watched black clover and it felt good to see all the familiar faces again but still the movie didn't have that kick that gets your heart racing or anything (except that Mereoleona fight) |
| I scored it 3. There are a lot of problems with the movie from the graphics to the motivation of the villains to the in world lack of consistency of powers especially thos of the black bulls. Both Asta and Yuno were much more powerful than in the beginning of this fight during the end of the series. Also the video does not provide any new info on the swords and the demons used by Asta which is basically the main thing that makes this different from any other 2 cents shonnen. Without this is just the most forgettable piece of shonnen out there. I think being made by Netflix should have been a warning not to waste 2 hours on this |

Every character felt very robotic, they had none of their usual personality at all - every single character was simply just shouting every version of “with the power of friendship…” I love myself a good villain, so when there are four entirely forgetful antagonistic characters, it is a disappointment to say the least. Of course, because the movie is non-canon, there will be no mention of the destruction that was caused by throwaway villains that are 10x more powerful than the Spade Kingdom trio. We are given a total of a few frames of backstory that is interjected into the fights - a few minutes of uninterrupted telling of their motivation would have been enough. Finally, it took the elves many episodes to come to an understanding and relinquish their hatred of the world - while I understand this is a movie and has time constraints, Conrad, a man hellbent on destroying the world because it caused the death of the woman he loved, becomes saint-like in a matter of minutes after a duel with a frankly annoying rendition of Asta. The direction was never quite clear, as there were many cuts away from what could have been epic and climactic moments, but I suppose we’ll never know. I’ve heard that we could have explored Yami’s origins, but instead we were given something that just felt uninspired and uncharacteristic to what we’ve come to expect from Black Clover. Hopefully this is just a hiccup and the anime does not suffer the same fate as this movie if it is brought out of hiatus. I felt the same way but I gave it a 7 because it was watchable thanks to the fight scenes and seeing the familiar faces, although the movie was a disappointment when we compare it to the anime series. The villains sucked, I personally hated the pink haired girl because she just came in and acted like she was the most powerful person in the room. Also because she was a Zero Two fake lookalike with zero back story. Everything was pretty much predictable aswell.  |
| I gave it a 9 because the villain was actually cool and the fights were separated nicely to show off all the characters abilities. On top of that, flawless animation. |
| 9/10. I don't care about the story. My Black Clover content has good animation for the first fucking time, I'm gonna rate it that way. We eating good for once come on |
