| It's been 2 weeks since Hajime and Co. have joined the famed Orchestra Club, and with the provisional period ended, it's time to focus on the upcoming Summer regular concert, with Hajime and Saeki being the worst people with no stamina. Hajime and the gang assigned to the 1st violin except Akine being 2nd violin, and veteran player Shizuka Tachibana picks a beef with her being a shorty. Harada focusing on Bizet's Carmen, with both Hajime and Saeki tagged to each other just like the orchestra try-outs, who still seemingly can't put their differences aside. It's the same for Akine, who is feeling the heat from Shizuka that people like her should not join the club just for fun. Seemingly worried, Akine promises to try hard again, though that where she is that others have failed, the Orchestra Club is not for the faint of heart. The next day in school, and Akine practices Bizet's Carmen on her own, with Hajime knowing that it's her to give her a pep talk. Practice session resumes again for the 2nd violin, and Akine's playing has improved a lot, though she's still going off-tempo, enough to apologize and earn the sympathy and encouragement from Yonezawa. Haru, on the other hand, suspects that both Akine and Hajime have a thing going on with each other, that coupled with her shyness, she's unusually tight-lipped. With the bad weather of a rainy day on a Saturday's worth of full-day practice, it greatly affects the instruments on their wear and tear because of moisture, and Hajime got drenched and jinxed at the same time. Seeking a redress with Harada giving him a towel, and he has to execute the typical "walk into fanservice" moment, only to get teased by both Saeki and Yonezawa, and scorned by Akine. The awkward setting continues as both Hajime and Haru are seated next to each other as per the piece's arrangement, and they continue to flounder under the nerves, despite the latter being a fluent and skilled player that the former earns another ire of being hated by someone else. Who exactly is Haru Kozakura, and she's the main focal character for now. |

| I really feel for this show, the plot is interesting enough that if it was done by any of the studios that made Your lie in April, Sound of life and Hibike Euphonium it would have been a success sadly it's stuck with this, I try to ignore the CGI but there's so much band practice in this show, which makes it look so jarring |

| Aono: Does she hate me? Me: nah... I don't think like that π btw, the train station in this episode really confused me for a bit. As it was clearly shown in the anime that the station's name is Shin-Matsuda Station. And, there is a real Shin-Matsuda station in Kanagawa Prefecture. However, this station in the anime is modeled after Shim-Matsudo Station in Chiba Prefecture, not Shin-Matsuda. π₯΄ |

| Man, I really wish the visuals were better with how much band practice there was this episode. Imagine what could have been if the technical aspects of the show were more polished and well done. Makes you appreciate HIbike! Euphonium all the more. Looks like the main song choice for this episode is Bizet's Carmen, which is still a rather common song, though it's nice. A few silly tropes here and there this episode, though I do find Haru to be interesting, and with the spotlight seemingly on her next episode, I'm looking forward to it. |

Fingering is out of sync with the tempo, no shifting is going on, and everyone is of the same body position due to the CGI. It confuses me that they stress alignment, when body language, a big portion of sound alignment, is pretty much cloned. Credit where it’s due, the sound is much more accurate to the scenario than the animation, but that’s its only positive factor. Yeah they trained a model to make it easier for them. I don't think that they're going to change it and animate differently. I got used to it i hope it doesn't ruin your experience |

| Akine's really straightforward and I like it but unfortunately bitch type follows her everywhere. Also youth, how beautiful. Haru and Hajime stuff I mean. |

| The drama begins. They always think they hate them but he doesn’t read the room. At least next episode seems to be about her so we can see her story and see why she started playing. |
