Name is suspiciously similar not gonna lie.

Should Makoto Shinkai sue them?

I know ripping-off brands is a thing in anime culture but damn guys... Make it less obvious.

Oshi No Ko means "My child" also translated as "My Star Child" which is a very suitable title for this series And also to be clear Any author always tries to name their manga based on what manga is about or some kinda relations.

Wrong.
Exact 3 same words mate, they just deleted first and last letters to make it sound different. Oshi no Ko sounds like an indian trying to spell Hoshi no Koe lmao

Translations are different. 'Hoshi' means 'star/s', while 'Oshi' I'm not sure if it's taking its meaning from the MC name or its original definition. The 'no' part is just a connector. 'Ko' means 'child', while 'Koe' is either taking its meaning from the word 'voice' or another word, totally different from 'Ko'.

Kanjis are even different, Hoshi no Koe (voice kanji) -> 星の声, Oshi no Ko -> 推しの子.

TL;DR: Totally different meanings.

EDIT: Used different kanjis for Oshi no Ko. Point still stands, tho.

Only you can save yourself.

no. onk is actually a genius title

The title is Oshi no ko
OSHI = mean my bias
No KO = I simp for
So the eng title would be " the girl I idolise or the girl I simp for " which is what ai fans doing
But also Oshi as in the Kanji = 押し mean push and KO alone as in 子 mean child so the English title would be as well "the child I pushed"
So this is reference of ai giving birth to aqua and ruby
The 3rd pun is oshi= little star cuz hoshi= star so the eng title would be " my little star" which is reference to ai eyes

Why the heck are you insulting Indians like that? Even Caucasians often make pronunciation and spelling mistakes.

No bc it’s an actual sentence in Japanese that means my idol daughter or something.

Bro has watched almost 69 days worth of anime but still doesn't understand that both the titles are Japanese with different meanings 🥲

And they're like sentences describing the anime they're not meant to be some unique or specific name s 😅

Also what's crazy is I just finished watching Hoshi No Koe like I just picked it out randomly on my Makoto Shinkai binge cause it was short and this is the first thing I see on my MAL feed after opening the app, kinda weird 😂🤣

LOL, you are an idiot. When you use a different word, then it's not the "exact 3 same words", "mate".
And you sounds like a 4 years old kid trying to be clever, but he's just being pathetic.

I mean, they are both named with stars in mind.
I am pretty sure the official American name for Oshi No Ko is My Star… so they both have stars.

I wouldn’t be surprised if the mangaka liked voices of a distant star though.

oshi no ko has to translation, "my favorite idol" and "the children of my favorite idol" depends on the context. Though in the context of this show it could be both, the former interpretation could be in reference to Ai and how her life and death is the driving force of the story, or it could be the latter, referring to how the story revolves around her children.

Japanese people write with kanjis. "oshi no ko" are not even words or japanese, it's the romanized PRONUNCIATION of the actual japanese "推しの子 ". New to anime? If that's the case please restrain yourself from making posts seeking for attention by spitting ignorance, you already have quite some of these in Oshi no Ko forum, at this point mods might even mute you lmao
