Bocchi the Rock was a success as far as I can see. Do you think there's a huge possibility for a season 2? Have a good day!

Bluray / Manga sales will tell. Still pretty sure it'll get another season.

It is almost sure. There is enough material in the manga for a second season, the anime is a big hit in Japan and the sales are good too as I have heared. What is there an anime should have beside these to get a 2. season?

There alreadyd is a huge chance that the bluray sales will be more than enough, so it’s not a question „will we get a sequel” but more like „when we get the sequel”.

Given the success, I would be amazed if it doesn't happen

They don't have enough source material for season 2 at the moment. They have adapted 21 chapters of manga and only 31 chapters have been released so far.

I don't think it's necessary, because I think the scene at the end is very good to be called an ending

CloverWorks is a studio that usually delivers sequels unlike Studio MADHOUSE... they are flushing out sequels like My Dress Up Darling, Rascal Does Not Dream, Saekano, etc. However, I just can't say the same for the quality of the sequels *ahem The Promised Neverland Season 2 and Wonder Egg Priority*

I think that what you said is a little misleading. You're right in the sense that Bocchi the Rock has 31 chapters translated in English right now, but as of December 2022, they actually have exactly double that at 62 chapters. The Japanese readers are eating well right now haha. Looks like there is more than enough for a sequel! :D

Edit: for clarity

And that's just because the translator is a one man team which just managed to give priorities on the series when the anime finally comes (he had other works as well). The manga isn't actually released officially in English even.

But remember they made Shadows House S2, in which they had to bring the anime back in line with the Manga. So yeah still 1/3

I think that we might have something with original material (Like an OVA or a movie) and a Second Season

I mean, I want a sequel to this, but the anime gave me some serious "We (producers) showed everything we wanted to show" vibes.
But hey, I think My Dress Up Darling was a one season deal as well and they were kinda pressured into producing a season 2.

So, who knows? Maybe they'll get pressured into making a sequel by the fans. Let's hope that, if they eventually announce one, it'll be on their terms, with the same passion and not a repeat of TPN S2.

That's only the translated ones. The raw manga has like 50+ chapters.

Probably yes. It's one of the most viewed show on Niconico this season, not to mention all the MAD and doujin it's been getting. Plus CGDCT in general has a good track record selling lots of CD/BD

I think this one is fixed to get Season 2, even if atm there's no announcement about it.
First obv is the success.
Second they also leave a bit of foreshadowing regarding Kita (finally), which doesn't get solved at all in this episode.

I think the question is not "if" or "when" it will get a second season, but rather if it will be anywhere near as good. Shows like Bocchi the Rock are lightning in a bottle. A lot of elements must have come together to make it possible. Replicating the same success is going to be difficult. The next season would theoretically come out in 2-3 years at best. So much can change in that time. Will any of the key staff members be available?

It’s estimated to be the highest selling show this season, might even be the 2nd highest of the year. season 2 is basically guaranteed from a financial standpoint
