| Long time Kancolle fan here, been looking forward to this season since it was first announced years ago! I thought this was a great first episode. I love the mood change in comparison to the first season, and the historical connections to real life events are neat to see and appreciated. It was also nice to see a bunch of different Kanmusu we haven’t seen animated yet, and I even got to see one of my favorites - Abukuma! I also thought the animation was really well done and looked great. The OP/ED are certainly departures from the first season, but it makes sense given the mood of this season. A shame this will only be 8 episodes, but at least we are getting some more Kancolle content! Looking forward to the rest of the episodes. RYUHO is part of Force `B' comprised of JUNYO and HIYO and screened by NAGATO and MOGAMI and eight destroyers. At 1810 RYUHO comes under attack from four bomb-loaded TBFs from USS ENTERPRISE and suffers slight damage from near-misses, but her navigating and fighting capability is not impaired. | I like the art style. The girls all look so beautiful! Especially Fusou. She was my favorite BB when I used to play Kancolle. She's so hot! Oh, this is based on the Battle of Surigao Strait, where Fusou and the others are doomed to sink. Yamato and the rest of her escorts looked so badass in the mist. Those faeries are so cute! |
