I read some chapters of Dragon Ball (and Shaman King and One Piece) in the school library, when I was 16 or 17. I also remember opening Naruto to a random page and being like "wtf?" - it was weird patterns, maybe a genjutsu.

First I finished was the boxing manga Rock N Roll Rikitaro (RRR), in 2013.
"The f**ker who goes round beating people to a pulp. He thinks it'll never happen to himself. But there's gonna be a day when the f**ker gets f**king beaten to a pulp too. But that day's f**king today and the guy doing the beating is a f**king c**t." - Sang-hoon, Breathless (2009)

Death Note. During sophomore year of high school my two friends I hung out with during lunch were absent, and instead of finding other friends to hang out with I decided to just chill in the library. Found a manga section, and decided to read the first chapter of Death Note and D.Gray-Man.

I just bought it last month, my first physical manga. It's standing now on my desk next to my screen. I'm not only a fan of GiTS, I also want to write my own story about transhumanism, human consciousness and how people react to 'future' technology.

I'm also planning to buy other manga's/books aswell. I also want to buy the full Akira box, but I also still need to watch the anime. I also planned books, like a orignal copy of Neuromancer. But it will be expensive.

But anyway, this is my first physical manga ever.

I casually bought the first 2 volumes of Karakuri circus back in 2015, can't remember why or where, what I know is that I never got tired of manga since that day. To this day I still haven't read the next 44 volumes, lol.

Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind. Completely annihilated my 9-year-old ass at the time with its themes and story. It's pretty short at only 7 volumes and was made by Hayao Miyazaki. The series is incredibly brutal with a lot of death. It's also about environmentalism and humanities relationship with nature.

A Sailor Moon manga that I stumbled upon as a kid. It was something from the middle of the story, so I couldn't follow the plot, and the unfamiliar Japanese drawing style looked weird and a little scary to me.

Soon after that, my parents convinced me that all manga was satanic filth, so I wouldn't read another manga until much later.

Either the Legend of Zelda Minish Cap or Ocarina of Time adaptations. I borrowed them from my elementary school's library, well over 10 years ago. I remember I read it completely backwards lol. I think I read it two or three times all the way through before I realized I was reading the wrong way. Yes, I did ignore the last page that told me that.

If it's the first manga that i really enjoyed, then Love Hina.

First Manga I ever read was technically the Majora's Mask manga, I think. I downloaded it and put it on a USB stick and read it on my dad's PS3. The first manga I remember ever reading physically was either Bleach, or Death Note. I'm assuming it was Bleach, though, since I watched the anime version of that first. I read those at my school's library.

This ground is soiled by those before me and their lies. I dare not look up for on me I feel their eyes
