| I'm fed up with Yuu and his cold airs. I'm a man and I'm telling you: the guy has got no Excuse this time. How difficult is it to discuss such a simple thing as that? He took the decision on his own and waited last moment to tell his gf. No excuse. It's even easier for him to talk to Satoshi than his gf who lives in the same house as him! Seriously - no excuse! Has anyone noticed the way they downplay sex completely? Compared to its 90s contemporaries like Hana Yori Dango, or Sakura Diaries or more recent shoujo big hits like Nana. I prefer Shoujos like this. I don't like it when the main female protagonist go around humping men and they portray it like it's nothing or worse still romanticise it! That's why I like Wataru Yoshizumi's works - she always know how to make us dream. Another example of this is Ultra Maniac - it portrays love in a completely innocent way, I'm tempted to say almost out of touch with the reality of our sexualised society. |
