Let's hear your thoughts. Suppose you have the money to buy one of those. Which one would you go to? The Intel (R13) or the Ryzen (R14)?

I currently have the Aurora R10 and I'm loving the Ryzen 9 so I would definitely go for the Aurora r14

i go with the AMD build in this case since it has more memory too

RAM speed that DDR5 provides only matters for APU builds

I wonder why Dell not giving the option to put DDR5, 4400 MHz on the Ryzen edition.

Seeing as both having memories of 128 GB. Do the DDR5, 4400 MHz and DDR4, 3600 MHz make any difference in performance? Negligible difference in performance can we say?

For the love of god do not go with Alienware (or dell for that matter) pre-built systems. They are poorly constructed, lack standard parts so upgrading is less likely and enjoy airflow so bad you could probably cool your system better by just breathing on it. Not to mention the crap ton of bloatware installed on it

none. Walking in to a scam like that you'd just have yourself to blame

I believe DDR5 has a pretty significant uplift when it comes to performance vs. DDR4, but it is also more unstable currently (especially with XMP). Though the performance gains you'd really only see in 1080p, which you'd be a fucking idiot if you buy these kinds of systems for 1080p gaming

agreed with @Short_Circut better do a custom build yourself or with a help of someone you know and its much cheaper that way too

as for your question if DDR5 makes a difference in performance maybe but if youre only using it for gaming then bigger memory is better than faster memory especially if you already have a dedicated graphics card and have you seen any games with faster system memory as their requirement? so ye you got the point

It's not necessarily avoid pre-builts entirely, just dell/alienware ones are particularly bad. Like extremely shit lol

also

It's the opposite. Faster memory speeds give better gaming performance than having more storage, unless you're using like 4gb ram or something in which case you don't even have enough to begin with (so increasing storage will obviously increase performance).

@Short_Circut: Believe me. I am aware how bad Dell's desktops are. Few if not many MAL fellow members stated their position in some previous thread how bad Dell is.
Previous Thread: Alienwares may be designed to break

Yet I am desperate. I mean I am hasty (kinda) when it comes into buying decision. Assembling PC parts is a pain in the ass, at least for me, but for greater good. I know that. THE DAY I HAVE MONEY, I will make sure to make a careful decision about PC desktop. Now that about desktop. What are you thoughts on Alienware x17 R2 Gaming Laptop?

I'd personally go with Aurora R14, since I also don't see a reason with DDR5 currently. Cause its still unstable due to its new technology.

However, if the pricing is too high, I recommend you try building your own PC if its cheaper than ordering from Dell.

That is 100% true. I have a Dell. Never again.
