| I understand the problems with this movie and I understand why people don't like it (Surprisedly people have different opinions because everything is subjective and what you like isn't the same for others), but I personally quite enjoyed it and I didn't like A Silent Voice (Going to rewatch it at some point). What I think most people seem to forget is nothing is "good" and nothing is "bad". We can say that the animation for this series is "bad" because it's a technical side of things, but characters, music, visuals, etc... Are all subjective and depend on the person watching it. For example, I love Another and think it was really good while others state that nothing made sense and it wasn't scary. I can go on and on about how much I love that anime while others can simply say "It didn't make sense" and both of these statements can be true and not be true. Both are opinion based and neither opinion is wrong since there isn't a wrong opinion. And if you think there is a wrong opinion, then well... Maybe you should try to let go of your bias on the topic. I loved this movie quite a lot but can easily see the problems with it. But those flaws and problems don't matter to me when I'm watching it. I can notice and acknowledge them, but they don't matter to me when viewing it. Even a film like Perfect Blue that I love may have flaws in it but I have never seen them or I don't consider them to BE flaws. The same is with Another or this movie. All of these probably have flaws but they never once mattered to me when viewing them. |

| I gave it 8/10 I think just for the stunning visuals and music, without that it would be like 3/10. That's just Shinkai. So that makes me liking the movie I guess. |

| I don't dislike it; I think it is certainly above average in many ways, especially in terms of visuals. However, it feels a bit bland in terms of characterization and story. Furthermore, I've seen many different series, both anime and otherwise which share a similar premise to Your Name, which reduces its uniqueness a bit. |
| Who GENUINELY likes this movie? Makoto Shinkai is fail-tier. A bunch of babbling teenagers have a brawl over time. It's dumb like everything else he's made. It's solely carried by visuals, unlike Demon Slayer. |

| Wow this thread is really funny as a lot of Kimi no na wa suckers are very mad because there is people who didn't like the movie. Congrats for getting emotionally deceived with your illogical inconsistent substanceless romance drama, this is your only source of escapism to escape your harsh and sad reality. Anyway, I don't like the movie. Great visual and animation, but a huge mess of writing. You put gold glitter into shit it won't make the shit to be gold. I don't exactly hate it though and I don't care if people liked or disliked it, but damn these Kimi no na wa suckers really are something huh. |

| It's a great starter anime, with god-like visuals and a pretty heartfelt story. As a newbie I loved it. As an 'experienced' anime fan, I still like it. I don't 'love' it anymore because I can see some flaws in it now, but still, it's a classic and a great anime. Has good rewatch value too :) |
