| A pretty good episode in my opinion, we finally got Subaru's backstory. |
| I got around to the episode late today, but I really enjoyed it. I didn't expect to, considering how bad of a character Mimori was last season, but I like the direction they've spun her in. Just really double down on that lack of self-confidence she has and pair it up with Subaru's false bravado; it's a nice contrast! I just think Subaru also plays really well off her in general. |

Their dynamic is really good in this episode and I'm glad they're stretching it into next week too. I want to see more of them. Also I have to shout out best boy Itsuki and Cosmos Fang hunting down a Bloodcraft player. I'm guessing this is also gonna be someone from the previous series? |

Nah, the one Itsuki hunts down is lookin' to be the missing second blood club leader from this season. Lucia is the most prominent bloodcraft player from the last show and he's nowhere to be seen in that shot (but HAS been mentioned as one of the Seven Shadows or whatever they were). The silhouette we saw matches up with the guy that shows up in the opening/ending who's face we haven't got to see yet. |

| Here I thought we already got a taste of Subaru's backstory a few episodes back... Guess they're going into deeper into it. Cause the current arc seems to be about having the MCs getting stronger before the Tourny, and they need to overcome their "weakness" of whatever is holding them back. ___ ___ ___ Meanwhile, the other MCs is doing random fights in the stadium... And we got a chirpy front desk girl... LOL ___ ___ ___ Tho season 1 MC's playstyle seems to remain the same, just with weaker cards. Probably to make it so they don't instantly win against the season 2 MCs, lol. But then again... Shadowverse's gameplay seems to be fairly limited based on the "category/ theme" of card you're playing with... Such as if you're playing with a Fairy Deck, every single player that uses Fairy all have pretty much the same playstyle... (compared to Yu-Gi-Oh, which can be fairly adaptable in changing your playstyle based on whatever new card you get, cause there's no real "theme" in Yu-Gi-Oh besides basing your deck on whichever "main/ strongest/ favorite unit". It doesn't work in Shadowverse... imagine trying to use a legendary necromancer unit with nothing but fairy cards in a deck... LOL) |

| It was great to see Mimori again, mainly when he interacted with Subaru, the two have a good chemistry. Itsuki is proving himself as the president, so proud considering how he started out in the series. It looks like maybe he might face Lucia, in light of how the series is on some character reminiscent from the previous season. |
