Honestly? Weiss Schnee, by far.
I was a part of the fandom from the very start. I remember vol.1 was still in production; all we had were four trailers, one for each girl. The first trailer I’d seen, the first to introduce me to RWBY as a whole, was “White”. Weiss.
From the moment I saw Weiss’ performance, both on the stage AND while fighting the Grimm… I was enchanted. The song, the battle, her immense grace and underlying loneliness and darkness… I almost immediately grew attached to her. As the show aired, she slowly wormed her way into my heart… And now, after 8 years, Weiss holds a permanent spot there. I don’t “love” love her; I don’t do that whole “waifu” crap, it’s not really my thing. But Weiss is truly one character I will always look back on fondly. She was the one who introduced me to RWBY, and she is the reason I’ve continued to hold on to it, even after everything went south.
A close second would have to be Nora Valkyrie. I love Nora. ‘s hard not to. No intricate reason like it was with Weiss, but she really does brighten up my day when she gets screen time. |
