| really nice little revenge tale. really nice tragic Chinese style theme music to go along with her sorrow. the music and atmosphere of this show are relentlessly fantastic |
| Okay now I need to know under what judgement does Miyu choose whether to give someone “eternal happiness” or not. In the last episode, we saw her deprive the aquarium’s director of it under the the judgement that the immortal woman hadn’t /earned/ a blissful death, and was only seeking an easy way out cowardly. But here, Miyu claims that she won’t give Yui-Li eternal happiness simply bc she doesn’t like her, DESPITE the deal they made. I actually don’t believe that— based on the numerous other humans she’s taken blood from, they were too far gone and damaged to continue life, so she eases their pain by granting them eternal happiness. Perhaps Miyu isn’t lying and does find Yui-Li annoying. But I believe Miyu most likely saw that, despite Yui-Li’s grief and guilt, she was still capable of healing and pursuing a fulfilling life. After all, Yui-Li was strong enough to take on a Shinma head-on and bore a strong resolve, something rare to see in humans. And as a result, Miyu found that Yui-Li still deserved her life and that her time for (most likely) death has still yet to come. It’s interesting! I wonder if there are any other reasons why Miyu would or wouldn’t grant a human eternal happiness :3c |

| We really needed a Chun-Li episode. Also I like how Miyu did the right thing, but was an ass about it. |
