Is this movie worth spending close to 2 hours on it? I've read the reviews and people are saying it's disappointing and stuff. Please tell me if it'll be worth watching or not.

surely it was great for me the animation is top class and worth watching music was great the story was little off but overall if you're a fan of makato shinkai movies then surely you will like it

100% worth it! The animation is beautiful the music is fire the story is good all round great movie definitely worth your time.

Not worth it. Gen Urobuchi is someone who knows nothing about writing. I would rather rewatch Twilight ten times and die rather than watch any of his works.

Great animation and wonderful OST by Sawano. Story is super mediocre tho, so don't expect much from the narrative aspect.

I wouldn’t say this movie is worth watching in my opinion.

- The story was dissapointing and not so good.
- Animation was ok
- Visuals was super nice tho
- Characters were not so good written

Tho in my opinion i would not recommend this movie because of the story and characters. tho this is my opinion

its a small decent story, but the main highlights of the show are the stunningly beautiful visuals and music that slaps hard.

Don't go expecting some complex storyline since you can only cram in so much to a 2 hour movie.

Overall it was an enjoyable movie with music that is fantastic.

The animation and music are outstanding. If only the story was the same, it could've been as good (or even better) as Your Name or Tenki no Ko.

Overall it's pretty good though. I'd say give it a try if you have some free time to spare.

Idk. Everyone has a different taste but I wouldn't recommend it to my friends. While watching I was so bored and just the music keep me to the end.

I really liked it but it appears I’m in the minority. I’d watch it but it’s not super heavy on the plot. It’s just fairly enjoyable characters but the main appeal is the beautiful animation and amazing music/sound design. I found the world to be quite interesting.

no. it has great animation and music but the plot isn't good, you can still watch it though

Friends are nothing more than the people who you spend the fun, yet meaningless times with. When those times get rough, they aren’t there to support you.

It's pure eye candy, and the soundtrack's really good. Story and characters are pretty flat, but the visuals alone made it reasonably enjoyable

If I'm being honest just watch it for the action. It's beautifully choreographed and animated. but when there's a slow moment just skip it cause it probably just isn't worth it cause that's the stuff that makes this movie disappointing I.e. lack of plot or it being generic.

Yea it was a good movie! It wouldn't be a waste of 2 hours because it's enjoyable. Not every movie you watch is going to be a master piece.

If you’re fine with a perfectly okay and entertaining experience, yes.

If you’re looking for something really good, maybe not. Depends on what you tend to like. If you’re a bit more geared towards the superficial stuff in action and romance (which is a weird combination) and less so towards the quality and consistency in the writing specifically, you might really like it.

I needed the writing to be better to say it was good, personally.

Animation and music are top tier (because Wit Studio and Hiroyuki Sawano), but the plot is nonsense and it doesn't have a proper conclusion. Whether it is worth it or not depends on what you prioritize in a movie.

it wasn't bad, it's pretty average. idk if it was worth spending 2 hours in it though. I'm pretty sure I ended up falling asleep near the ending but, for some reason I can't say this movie was bad cause it really wasn't.

Bruh... this is the weirdest complaint, considering all he did here was just for name recognition. He actually did nothing for the story. The majority of the work wasn't done even by him.

If you want something to pass time yeah its pretty good. Its not a shitshow and the animation is still great with a good ending. The plot is nothing special though

I don’t think it was the greatest movie but I enjoyed the art. Also to me it felt slow paced but I kind of found it to be relaxing. I ended up watching half one day and half the next.

I absolutely loved it. The story itself wasn’t anything too special, but from the visuals to the soundtrack, it was stunning. Honestly a bit of a tearjerker, but maybe I’m just too emotional. Would definitely recommend you to watch it.

my teacher recommended it. its decent i think might as well watch it and if you dont like it youve only wasted like 1 hour 30.
