A game of Nishikata Quest on White Day as we end the 3rd season of this wonderful series. And really, what is there to say that hasn't already been said by this point? It's still lovely, adorable, cute, whatever you wanna say. I still long for the day when the sequel/spin-off inevitably gets animated, but for now I'll continue to revel in all the Takagi-san goodness we get. Strong 8/10.

Hana(花) was the perfect ending song to conclude this season.

Can't express how happy I am with this choice.

There is still a movie yet to be released.

Can't wait. Looking forward to it.

A bit sad at the same time, as we all know it is coming to an end.

Even so, these sweet and joyful moments will remain in our hearts forever.

Since the movie is coming it was expected an ending like this, without a real confession but a personal confirm for Nishikata that he is indeed in love with Takagi.
Great season like first 2 without a doubt, really hyped for the movie since it's not gonna be manga stuff and i couldn't be more happy about that (honestly, too much teasing chapters with no progress whatsoever).

8.5 for me.

Nishikata is a keeper, if that's all the effort he puts by just being friends, imagine on an actual relationship, I love how the finale was Nishikata owning his feelings, sure he needed a bit of a push to get started but what he really needed was to be far from Takagi, that way he knows what is it like no having her besides him as granted, it is a bit of a shame the anime ended much like Symphogear with them holding hands and no the 3 words we all want to hear but there is the movie to look forward to, unlike Symphogear : (

Yes, the movie was announced last year together with the 3rd season, it'll come out on June 10th (here the MAL page).
The manga isn't exactly the same, it has less development. There are a few episodes in the anime that don't exist in the manga (this episode I don't remember it, but I could be wrong). The ending of the 2nd season too (the summer festival) I think was anime original.
The movie will be about the summer vacation on their 3rd year, and from this last episode I'd say it could be an anime original ending.

the first line of the ending song, i recognized it! such a good one to end it on. hear it a lot when i use my SiriusXM/Pandora mobile app (Anime Kei station) - But i'm struggling to remember who did the original, as the one in this ending was done by Takahashi-san.

So close to a confession, but not quite. Well, perhaps that's no surprise with the movie so close on the horizon (undoubtedly, they want to save that sort of moment for a grand finale to the movie).

Another great season of this show comes to an end, and this season we even got to see Chii at last. 8/10 and, in all likelihood, my AOTS.

...aaand it's finally over. I'll be honest, if it weren't for the excellent episode 11 and this pretty good finale I'd have given the show a low score. My biggest problem with season 3 is that it went backwards in progression; the main two were holding hands at the end of season 2 but for the bulk of this went back to keeping their distance and blushing. As it is I rate S3 a 6.5/10, a decent enough watch I don't regret but inferior to the likes of Tonari no Seki-kun or even Nagatoro-san.

So, I’m not sure where this ep left of, but I’d recommend you searching for it on google or Reddit.also, this ending ep was an anime original as far as I know and the manga still contains a lot, and I mean A LOT of stuff. There’s also a spin-off where they are already married and have a daughter.

What the hell was that, Nishikata can't find enough space in a locker for a box? Who drew that locker and said "there is no speace next to this pair of shoes and 2/3 of the space empty"? And how the hell is Nishikata so scared to talk even to a friend? How hard it is to be honest if you are japanese? Is this how every male in the enti9re country is like? I might hate myself if I had to live like this. Also, what kind of logic was that to go to the pier instead of waiting for her to get back home and just ask her to come out for a bit? I feel like Nishikata is one of the densest MC in existence. He needed 2 years/3seasons to realise that maybe Takagi was ones and that he had feelings for her. God damn, talk about lack of honesty. Yet I am big sucker for romantic endings like this and yet he still wasn't honest he still said something really stupid like "I wanted to return the favor" What the fuck was that? How can you be such a coward? God damn, it is making me drop this anime. It is so slow and so... IDK , it migt get more ep than one piece in order for Nishikata to say the words to Takagi.

Of course we weren't going to have a straight confession but I couldn't stop grinning like an idiot with how sweet it all was. From Nishikata realizing that all those teasing confessions maybe were Takagi's true feelings, Nishikata chasing after her, expressing his feelings in his own way and Takagi's reaction.... what a great ending!

It was fun to see Mina, Yukari and Sanae take on the quest that Nishikata had prepared for Takagi and it was just great how they rushed to put everything back when they realized who it was really for. He really put in a lot of effort and I love it.

It's amazing how this show has already had three seasons and how each one is better than the last. This anime season has had so many great shows but I think this one has been my favorite, I have so much fun with it and it just makes me happy to watch a new episode, so at the same time it's sad to see another season come to an end.

I have to mention how much I love Rie Takahashi's performance as Takagi. She and Megumin are my favorite characters from her.

Oh well, I guess that's it for now. Man, I'm really going to miss this, as much as I'm looking forward to the movie, I hope that's not going to be the last we see of the series.

at the beginning of season 3, takagi had a dream that nishikata gave her a box that transported them to a field of cherry trees. there, she outstretched her hand and he began confessing his feelings, but a strong breeze makes it impossible to hear anything and she's swept away before waking up. afterwards she says "i hope he says it to me for real some day"
while he doesn't exactly confess, he does make her dream come true, and she's really quick to hold his hands and get close to confirm it's real
very cute reincorporation imho

I haven't finished the manga but I hope this is a season finale rather than a series finale.
Never mind, there's still a feature-length film on the way, right? So there's at least one more installment in the future. That's a relief.

It's very wholesome that Nishikata made an entire game. He at least must consider Takagi his best friend if he's gonna devote so much time during and outside of school to prepare something like that. It was also rewarding seeing Nishikata say "I enjoy spending time with her and she's cute... does that mean I like her?" Hearing him admit that he outright enjoys spending time with her, instead of doing it out of obligation, is pretty nice.

I left a review on MAL raving about continuity in this season. I think it's really cool how they brought back the Bryan book, and how Nishikata didn't find the words "I love you" in it, and then how he began to piece things together. It really felt like this season had an overarching storyline, as opposed to the first two seasons which were mostly episodic. All the seasons were good, of course. But this was a big step up. Also, the first two seasons kinda had to be episodic, to milk this show for as long as possible.

This was absolutely the best season yet. 10/10, which is a rating I rarely give. It checked all the boxes.

WHAT A BEAUTIFUL CHAPTER.
It's white day, and Nishikata is in doubt what to do because of what Hamaguchi told him.
And he gets to do the NISHIKATA QUEST.
But he starts to think about how he feels about Takagi. And it seems that he realized(FINALLY!) that she has feelings for him.
And he went to find her to give her the chocolate and AHHHH!!!!. What a beautiful scene.
It seemed, it SEEMED(AHHHH!!!!) that Nishikata was going to tell him something else.
But well, there will still be the movie and we will have to see what will happen. Please, PLEASE, PLEASE TELL HIM!!!

I loved the 3rd season, it was really good and precious. And it looks like it could be the last one, because we will have to see if the movie will mark the end of the series. And let's see if they confirm the spin-off adaptation.
But well, I really loved this anime.

Our boy is probably still catching his breath after all that running. All that physical training really paid off (it's quite fitting since most of it is self imposed as a punishment due to losing to Takagi) And after all this time Takagi isn't about to let go of him.

The points you’ve mentioned actually made the whole story more fun and exciting. Manga is still ongoing. It was actually surprising to even see that Nishikata realizes Takagi’s feelings as anime original. In my opinion, I’ll be more than thankful that no confession happened for more episodes to produce to cover the rest of the manga or add more anime original on it.

As this anime is also slice of life, I believe this is close to reality. Some people tend to be so honest (like you) while others really freezes up at the exact moment and cant be honest. It is really hard to be courageous (especially in “love”) with some/most thoughts in real life are really not expresed. I believe most boys at this age experience this, like me. I don’t know if it is just a race thing or not 😂.

I hope we can all enjoy the movie 🥰

Nice little ending moment, a damn tease though. Nishikata finally realizes his feelings for Takagi 100% now. Looks like we'll have to wait for the movie for that climax confession.

10/10 though, same as the 2nd season. What a brilliant series.

A fitting finale for the 3rd season of Takagi-San. Most of the episode is kinda gloomy, both the weather and the atmosphere lol. First Nishikata is excited about his series of puzzles titled “Nishikata Quest”, but after getting word that Takagi wouldn’t be at school that day, it puts him down for most of the episode. Of course our boy Kimura being the bro he is (even if he doesn’t know it) slides Nishikata the book Takagi was reading earlier in the season where she dropped the casual “I love you” but then brushed it off like she was reading a line from the book, but Nishikata discovers she made it up just so she could say it, I really like that full circle we got there.

Meanwhile, not only does Hamaguchi fail his confession to Houjou (still love this pair), the Doyoubi girls are casually solving Nishikata Quest without knowing what it’s for lol, and later Nishikata finds out Takagi will be back in the afternoon, so he rushes to get his White Day gift to her in a very good scene where he runs his guts out chasing her car to a nice new song, which is when Takagi notices him and stops the car to run to him, and the clouds part for a nice Sunny Sakura blossom view for a very good final scene between the two, absolutely loved when Takagi’s face lit up after Nishikata explained why he ran to her. It’s as Yukari said in the episode, “that’s the power of love.” Lol.

And here we are at the end of another season of Takagi-San, it was a very good one once again, full of the classic teasing we’ve come to know paired with some very sweet and romantic moments between Nishikata and Takagi. Much like the first two season, I really enjoyed this one, love seeing all the characters again and more of the main pair is always nice, the OP and EDs this time were superb as well. Of course I hope this isn’t the final season and the movie doesn’t properly end it, but if it happens to be, I’ve really enjoyed this anime series as a whole and will definitely miss all of its sweetness and hilarity, definitely need to rewatch it all soon.

A nice and heartwarming episode. But it isn't as surprising or good as I thought it would be. Nishikata probably realized about the "I love you" from the book and in the end they met, it was a very nice moment. The gift Takagi wanted is not even the actual gift, that is the resolve Nishikata made to chase her from the ferry all the way until they both met, it's very lovely to witness that scene.

My displeasure is just that they didn't make this season's finale as strong as the second's. However they still manage to capture the comedy properly as well, when Hamaguchi said "See you tomorrow" instead of confessing, Lol

the finale was so good...anime og ending like it SHOULD. Pretty sure this didnt happen in the manga, this has to lead into the movie and them being older! hopefully.. Cannot wait for the movie. Altho this wasnt a "confession" but I think takagai knows and he knows also.
Im kinda sad that after the movie no more tkagai unless they do an adaption when they're older..hopefully. Series just always makes me smile so good.

Definitely a great episode where things progress even more. Can't wait for when the movie airs as well as a moto adaptation :) It's kind of a happy and sad feeling for me. Happy because it's great, and sad because it's sounding like its almost done.

No cap, the screen time for each of the characters where pretty well distributed. Ashita wa Doyoubi trio were extremely wonderful presences in the episode with their insights and clue searching. Was a wonderful road, and I can't help but be excited to see more!

This Nishikata quest looks interesting to watch Takagi solve it I wonder how she'll solve it

So long for Takagi solving it, Mina and the gang are the ones who are going to solve it first not gonna lie it was fun watching them solve it, Sometimes Yukari's genius is it's almost frightening

Kind of sad that the gift got crushed by the car guessing by it or it got but the end was wholesome nonetheless I expected an "I love you" from Nishikata got "I really wanted to see you" from him well can't blame him I want another season so why not.

From the continuation of the previous 2 seasons I was really excited this got announced and finished the last season to watch this enjoyed till the end I would like another adaptation.

The three girls definitely crank my score. Also, the fact that when the season starts the pacing is felt all over the place is no concern for me after such a great build-up to the finale. Cute things do pass any bad comment!
