No actually. Although the movie is manga canon, they're gonna re-tell it (with more details) in the first 5-6 episodes of the new season.

Probably because the last episode of season 1 lead up to the movie so season 2 might be based off the end of the movie

Is there an official information.
I think that they will probably recap a little like how bnha does after seasons, and then we will start off from the remaining part of mugen train.
If you enjoyed the time you wasted, then its not a waste of time.

You can look it up yourself. It’s official news so it’s a matter of you believing it. And why 12 weeks? That movie content isn’t 12 eps at all. It’s way less

For the schedule, here is the official news from the Fuji TV program manager. In this statement, the manager said Season 2 would air in Fall and Winter; hence, we assume Season 2 has 2 cours, which are approximately 24-26 episodes:
https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2021-09-06/demon-slayer-entertainment-district-arc-anime-to-air-without-changes/.177076

For the content of Season 2, there is no official announcement to indicate what the first episode is about. At least, we need to wait until Sep 25th for more detail. People are confused about the information that the first episodes of Season 2 will retell the movie because of this rumor:
https://myanimelist.net/forum/?topicid=1943942

This leaker from Twitter had no evidence to prove his claim when people asked where his source came from. Therefore, when a member shared this info on the forum, people were confused and thought it was official. Additionally, the leaker stated this info before the announcement for the rebroadcast whole Season 1 and the movie on the TV. He may overheard the partial info but misunderstand. I hope it will help to answer for your request.

If there is official information about Season 2, I will post on this forum.

This isn’t official news, it’s a rumor. No official Kimetsu website/account has ever stated that they are redoing the entire mugen train arc in season 2. Stop spreading misinformation.

YOu don't even need to watch movie anymore, because Train Arc (the one from the movie) will be airing as TV episodes starting from October 10th

So you can just watch TV episodes in October 10th if you don't want to watch movie.. They are even saying that the first episode will be new material that was not shown in the movie.

The new season will start in December 5th
