so im confuse if there is a multiverse going on in the ending

we saw Kaji talking to Kaworu of them and Misato working together implied in a new world or reality (nice that Misato will be revive)

and also Shinji mentioned that Asuka will find her own new place and its implied with Kensuke as shown on this

Asuka and Shinji also shown in the End of Evangelion timeline ending scene on the beach as shown here

Shinji said he will not revert the world but rewrite this world without Evagelions as shown here

so if they all gone to the rewritten world Shinji made then why in the end of the train station scene they all look total strangers now so does that mean Shinji erases their memories of the past? but that violates Shinji saying he will not revert the world so my guess is that this 3 persons or lookalike (reminds me of Rei in the first half of this movie) are alternate reality versions

so multiverse confirmed or not? since in other anime i remember the word Sekai not just mean world but also universe or maybe even multiverse just like in Dragon Ball Super for example

so thoughts? i voted i do not know for now

I think that's something like JoJo's new universe. Since something really big was rewrite, all the people's memory about what happened would disappear since nobody "was there" in this universe. And the only person who would remember all of that is Shinji, since he carries the burden of the previous universe.

The others wouldn't remember anything, but something like destiny (that's why the JoJo reference) would "place" them all together in that last scene.

Just according to keikaku...

it is not a multiverse, the rebuilds happened in the same time as eva but in the eve of the forth impact in this forth movie, they reached the imaginary so they started existing in the real eva too, that's why we see shinji and gendo fighting in the scenes of end of eva. Anno was trying to play safe, there is no evidence of a multiverse in the series.

so this might all be all just imaginary too then ok time loop theory is more simple enough explanation for everything anyway

From crunchyroll and screenrant lol. It's nothing like this, the scenes of the beach and the stuff you see are just fanservice. I think Kaji talking to kaworu was them promising/hoping that in a world with no EVAs they'd work together.

those articles especially about the Campus Apocalypse manga just confirms my own guess about the multiverse theory but ye its not a popular theory anyway although those what i wrote in the first post make it connects to me somehow

The ending reminded me of Solo Leveling. Like it pretty much plays the trope straight.
