The "one bad thing happened" or "I got betrayed one time" or "I met one asshole" so I became a super villain or hate humanity or want to die trope is one of the laziest and most annoying repeat tropes in anime. It's right up there with "you did one nice thing for me so I'll be your slave for life because no one else in the entire planet has ever been nice" when it comes to lazy writing.
