| I dislike scifi time travel anime. I feel they are shallow to some extent. If you wanna know what the best "time travel story" is, then my answer would probably be same as most ppl. Steins gate. If you wanna know what story incorporates time travel in interesting ways, then Soremachi is a good example. Also, Tatami Galaxy. |

| I wonder if anyone said Steins;Gate yet I guess I better say it in case no one did. Aside from Steins;Gate being obviously the best Re;Zero and Vivy are good anime with time travel. Erased is also good aside from the ending. |

| Steins Gate unless I'm forgetting something. Also Vivy's main focus isn't time travel it's so much more than that. So if u watched it purely for time travel aspects then ofc u'd think it's shallow. |

| Not sure if anybody has mentioned it, but I think Steins;Gate is a good one. Depending on what you call time travel, Erased and Ghost Hound have some forms of time travel (in the case of Ghost Hound it's regressions). |

| S;G, and it's not even close. Next would be Tatami Galaxy, followed by Re:Zero and Madoka Magica. I wish they did more with time travel anime. Half the time, the fact that it's a time travel anime is a spoiler lmao. I even have a time travel tag on my list lol |

| Steins;Gate (https://myanimelist.net/anime/9253/Steins_Gate?q=steins%3Bgate&cat=anime) is the best time travel anime for a lot of people I'm pretty sure ISLAND (https://myanimelist.net/anime/33012/Island?q=island&cat=anime) is also good but very weird and low in the first episodes, it get way better after a few ones Since the beginning is kinda fucked up, a lot of people dropped this anime (almost 1 out of 4) cause it only get interesting after like episode 4 or 5, maybe 6 I don't remember which one exactly xD |

| Is there actually an anime that tries to explain time travelling as much as steins gate? I really like S;G, because time travel isn't a superpower and a lot of thought went into making it possible (imo). But I am time travel sucker, Madoka Magica, Erased, Re: Zero and Higurashi, and newer anime like Tokyo Revengers, all these have something related to time travel. In case of Higurashi I would recommend the visual novel more, because it's definitely better than the anime, but the anime is still very good (one of my favourites - however lot of SoL scenes that can be a turn off). Moreover it ties to Umineko and together they tackle lot more themes than just time travel. But steins gate still remains as a best one in terms of time travel imo. (but i believe it's even better explained in VN, can't remember it that well though) |

| Madoka does time travel really well, I prefer it over Steins;Gate tbh. That being said, S;G is my favorite anime thats solely focused around time travel. Every other anime with time travel as a key plot point that I have seen were pretty mediocre (re;zero, erased, tokyo revengers, vivy). Tatami Galaxy is amazing with its usage of a time-loop although being notably different from actual time travel. |
