| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- What an emotional rollercoaster. I didn't really know if that was the author that wrote himself into the story in the beginning, but he also has a spirit guardian with him. Maybe that will play a part of the story later. Crazy how General Men had to see his daughter die twice though. |

| So am I right in believing the 1st 3 episodes are remakes of Season 2 episodes 3-5 and this is now the continuation? I am so confused so technically part 2 is only going to have 4 episodes? |

| Finally arrived at the 2nd half of Season 2 for Requiem Street, and wow there is a lot more changed than I thought. First off I did like the meta bit in the first half with the staff of the show talking about Season 2 and how the previous story guy left and that he made a lot of it up, and he’s supposedly canon in the manhua too, I mean he had a Chinese stand power lol. But man, so you’re telling me the brothers twist from Season 1 was anime original? Damn, I actually liked that twist a lot but now it’s been retconned, but I will say I did like the redone scenes from the manhua that weren’t in the anime, makes we wish we got that cool stuff back then. And not only that, things actually went way differently now with the General Men and Shuier stuff, so the hot evil girl is still alive and didn’t get offed super easily (might still happen but it’s happening later lol) and instead of Shuier fighting back with Men she’s now slowly dying as Yanbing avenges her by saving Men and taking out Nan’s army. I actually do like this change and I think it makes more sense than what we got before, I hate that Shuier is dying now but I’ll take it for this better version of the events lol. And lastly, whoa does this look hell of a lot better than before, the soldiers and the spirits are actually animated now and the art just looks better in general, I wish that the whole show looked like this man, I would be rating each season at least a score higher if it always looked this way. But I’m happy to be here in the final stretch even with all the changes. |
