I heard a lot of people saying this season was too boring and the war was too easy but I think Dr.stone was never an anime like AoT with a lot of emotions sacrifices and despair so the way the war ended was logical for me. I don't think it was better then season 1 I think it maintained the same entertainment and was enjoyable
Right ?

I agree with you. Moist Critical said that he didn't like the fact that they were advancing that fast, but I didn't mind tha cause they've basically done that since the beginning of the show and at a certain point they just have all the resources they need to build something like a tank, so I think that's logical

I don't think it maintained the same entertainment as season 1 but season 2 still was a great season for me. And I have to agree on what you said. Dr. Stone isn't equal to any other popular shounen. The show's goal is to make science fun and entertaining, and isn't supposed to be dramatic like what people want it to be.

Even though I enjoyed the 1st season more, I wouldn't say that the 2nd season was bad.

I mean the second season is supposed to be just like a link between seasons 1 and 3. The arc featured in the second season is just a build up.

It feels lacking because it's only 11 Episodes.
I guess we have COVID to blame for that..

I thought season 1 was pretty good but nothing crazy but I dropped s2 halfway through it was just not interesting to me at all. I'm probably gonna pick up the manga sometime cause it looks better and I've heard the stuff that happens after Stone Wars is good asf.

I started reading the manga when season 2 ended. I loved it, but it ends right as big stuff starts happening.

Decent? I thought it was great! Season 1 may have been a bit better overall in my opinion, but I’d attribute that more to season 1 being 24 episodes compared to this season more or less being half of that.

It's not on the same level as season 1, mostly because the character development becomes a bit rushed and one-note imo. Different characters get a moment but then their arc is over just like that, especially towards the end.
I still enjoyed it though, since there were great moments.

It was good. I think I preferred the first season overall but this season was really good when it mattered and I'm looking forward to season 3.

I really enjoyed both seasons. This anime was never about an actual grand battle, but more about the build up toward such an event, and more importantly, all their small achievements in between. The process and adventure of having to find something to complete the next was probably executed better in the first season for it had more episodes, but the second season was good too in my opinion.

It was pretty great season overall. I am not sure comparing it with season 1 is fair since season 1 had double the episode of this season

Nah season 1 was way better. That season 2 was plain a downgrade and every respect. They shouldn't have even tried to do a "war" when we know how high stakes and high octane war arcs are in other shows. They also took WAY too many liberties when it came to realism for a show based on science compared to the first season. I'm glad there changing the focus back on science/exploration for season 3 but after that season 2, who knows if Dr.Stone is getting a season 3.

That was not the reason of the season having. 11 episodes.
The studio wanted to cover the stone wars arc in one season, and the arc was not even that big in the manga.
AOT second season had 12 episodes. And it premiered in 2017.

Well it's good but the first season is the one I enjoyed more compare to second season. Because they split it, Stone Wars is just a small arc. That's why the impact is not the same as the first season. Even the second season have plenty of informations.

I didn’t like it as much as season 1 and the pacing was a little fast IMO (probably because it was only 12 episodes) but it was still a solid season. If you’re watching Dr. Stone for the action you’re not watching it for the right reasons.

Yes, 2nd season was decent but I agree that 1st season is much more fun and entertaining than the 2nd season. (Given that I'm quite a fan of the anime)

This season was overall good and entertaining. I heard from the manga readers that this arc was just a setup and as we have seen the final episode title "the end of prologue" I think the next season is gonna be much better. Season 1 was amazing and s2 is not great as s1. Is it a let down? No way it was. I watch dr.stone for that cool science stuff and story in general is so unique and interesting in terms of shonen. So wait for s3 for more interesting stuff. I am anime only btw.

I like season 1 so much more than 2 but I still really like dr stone in general! s1 just had so much more going on and was just more entertaining to me but yes as people are saying, you can't expect the same type of fighting and action as other Shonen anime

I personally find this season meh but the way the war was carried out was very unique. In every other battle shounen you see just blood and mindless fighting but in Dr stone no one died in the war and there was very little fighting. In terms of suspense this season had the least impact compared to it's predecessor.
When they were inventing stuff,it usually took half or maybe even a full episode just to invent a single thing in season 1 but in season 2 it just takes about half or maybe even less an episode to finish inventing stuff.Correct me if I'm wrong in this one but to make a tank it takes years right? They just speedrun and modified in just one episode. That doesn't make any sense.

A point to note that this arc wasn't even hyped up by anyone lol.The fandom was just silent.

They do had resources that's for sure and that's probably the reason why they were inventing stuff too fast.In season 1 they had to travel and gather stuff to invent and that's what made season 1 so special. In season 2 they already had the resources so it just became boring. Also, in season 1 their explanation when they were inventing stuff was so detailed compared to season 2.They also had list of instructions to create this at home while season 2 didn't had it(correct me if I'm wrong in this one)

It was GREAT!

Especially episode 9, 10 which i liked the most, after the war had ended. It was nice to see that SENKU & TSUKASA were not enemies anymore.
