High School DxD (light novel)
| So I watched BorN as well as Episode 0. Still, I am lost on a couple things mentioned on episodes 1 and 2 of Hero. When did Issei hang out with Beelzebub, and when did he learn he has to meditate to evolve his powers? I'm not the most observant viewer ever, but the whole Issei hanging out with the Devil leaders thing came out of nowhere. Did this take place around the same time Issei recorded Oppai Dragon? Did it happen off screen like that event? |

| Season 3 of D×D covers volume 5,6 and 7 of light novel upto Ep 8 or 9 and then went anime original (ofcourse they skipped lot of things like match with sona, meeting with oden etc). Now for the thing with beelzebub, it happens in volume 8 last chapter and since this volume was mostly a collection of short stories (except this one) I guess passonie decided to skip it and adapted the story from volume 9, after correcting some major events of previous volumes. |

The whole meditate thing came from a short story in which Issei fought the "Devil Rangers" which was just the Devil Kings in costume all of which was a part of series of test to see if Issei was good enough to marry Rias (even though he had no idea that's what it was for). Him knowing the Devil Kings came with the resolution of the juggernaut drive and also after the rating game with Sona Sitri family (which did happen off screen it was a volume of the light novel).
