| If the ED contains scenes from the rest of the series, then it's time to go do some digging and see if we can reverse-engineer what chapters will be adapted. Glad to see Benelux to be included in the Bluray release, along with a Czechia/Slovakia duet. |

I think it will be a lot of focus on the chapters with a lot of characters, and probably a lot of the smaller/newer characters. They're definitely going to do Czechia and Slovakia's chapters. Would be pretty interesting to see predictions, though. |
| I rated 5/5. I am genuinely excited, I just watched the episode already! I didn't appreciate the art before, but now I absolutely love it! The episode is a LOT more fast-paced than usual, and you have to watch the first few seasons to understand better. The countries aren't introduced though, so if you're new, you might have to figure it out for yourself. The sub is amazing, I'm starting to think it's better than the dub. I noticed weeks ago that the seasons were getting shorter, from 26 episodes to 12 episodes now. I LOVE HETALIA!! |

Back in the day (2009-2011) it was full seasons (2-cour) because they probably gave the same production time frame as a regular TV anime that is 24 episodes long with 22 minutes per episode. If you do some calculations, you can figure out that 24x22 = 528 minutes. They did 103 episodes with 5 minutes per episode. 4.5 x 103 = 463 minutes. For less the work, and yes the animation for the first four seasons were very stiff at best, they kept the show going for three years, whereas a regular show would be finished within half a year. They probably won't be returning to the original format anymore. Less work, same / more revenue. Why not? |

Also, I was surprised that Lithuania, Switzerland and Netherlands were not returning. I did correctly predict that it will only be one cour with a few episodes in the disc bundle. Along with the BR-DVD announcements earlier today, Netherlands is confirmed to return for the special disc bundle episodes. Based on previous speculations, they are likely to heavily edit the manga chapters, so the adaptation won't be one-to-one. For example, Chp.92 was fully adapted but Chp.1 is not finished, likely for the next episode. 100% will be animated chapters: 77-79/85-91/ Blog posts on Benelux in 2015, collected in Vol2 of WS, but not numbered. 80% will be animated chapters: 1/3/4/7/8/11/15/16/19/20/43-44/50/51/53/ 57-64/ 66-69 /92-95 50% will be animated chapters: 12/ 27/ 29-31/ 70-76/ 97-102 0% will be animated chapters: Any chapter that includes dialogues from characters whose VA did not return or not casted or most of the chapters after 103. |

In a magazine interview, the character designer Oka Mariko claims that the new characters for this season will be in a few episodes. This doesn't really confirm if the content will be in one episode or not because there are four new characters for this season. |
| I rated it a 4/5. The animation and art style was really great in my opinion! It’s hard to rate a show based on a 5 minute long episode, so I don’t know what to think yet. The moment Germany threw a pencil at France and yelled “Kugelschreiber!” like it was his special attack or something had me wheezing. |

| Eeek. This episode was an odd mess compared to the pacing of other seasons. Like, I dunno, it had a really random-ish way of going about the episode. Still, I'm chill. I'm happy to see all of the characters again. And bless having Seychelles here. Bless bless bless. But lol her presentation was highkey just "my place is small and beautiful (read: please visit)". Same. Happy that the op doesn't sound terrible like one of the ones from before. |
